    • Recommendations for Using on a Boat
Product has worked very well so far and installed over a month ago. Since I use my boat on salt water I decided to prep the light disks using medium grit sandpaper (120 grit), super glue, and electrical grease. 1. The back of the light disk has a small footprint to securely adhere the enclosed velcro adhesive patches because it’s not a flat surface (you’ll know what I mean when you see them). I used the sandpaper to scratch the back of the raised backing on the disks then used super glue to adhere the velcro patch. This way, the heat during warm months won’t melt the adhesive glue that’s comes on the velcro after removing the attached paper. Thought here is to ensure the Velcro stays on the light disk regardless of the climate. 2. Next, in order to minimize corrosion of the internal battery connections I liberally covered all internal metal parts with electrical grease. Same thing mechanics use to prevent corrosion of your car battery terminal. If not used, I’d expect the battery connections would certainly rust, damage the AAA batteries, and render it useless. Only took about 15 minutes to do 6 light disks and I believe it’ll extend the life of the lights. I placed the lights in my boat’s gunwales and in my center console glove box. They look nice but they do not stick to the Velcro backing they are not flat on the back and they fall off

It has great lighting, batteries don't last to long, the Velcro that is sent with it doesn't stick very well had to super glue it. They do look good, easy to install but like I said you have to glue it after a few days

    • Adhesive does not work!
I wanted to love these lights, and as lights they are great, easy to use, and I like that I can set them as different colors. Unfortunately, I ordered them to light up my boat and after less than a month in the sun the adhesive dissolved and they fell in the lake! Hoping to get a refund but not sure I can since the ligths are at the bottom of the lake and I can't 'return' them. If you are not planning to use them outside they are study and good quality, but if you are planning to put them outside either find something else or get stronger adhesive. ... show more

    • Nice for the price and easy to install/use
I bought these to put on my boat for mood lighting. I didn’t want to get tied down with a difficult installation. It was super easy to place these lights around the boat. They are easy to control with the remote but found I had to walk around the boat to each light individually to turn them on. Would be nice if I could take the remote and touch ‘on’ and have all the lights turn on at once. The lights themselves look, nice on the boat and there is a nice variety of colors available. For an easy to install, inexpensive lighting solution I would recommend these. ... show more
