This light has been an excellent replacement for my old school fluorescent light system, which finally flickered its last flicker. Due to the price, I didn't expect the level of quality, but have pleasantly surprised. All of my aquarium plants have literally sprung back to life, experiencing new and healthy looking growth, with baby plants springing up around the tank. The brightness is nice, the fish seem cool with it, with their colors popping better than before. And I didn't expect to use it, but the timer feature has been very convenient - I use the 12 hour setting. The controls aren't necessarily intuitive, but spend about 4 minutes reading the manual and you'll be good. This has been on my tank for about a month now and the plants are doing great! I was previously using CFL lights but the plants seem to prefer the LEDs of the new light. There’s really fine brightness controls and the ability to change the lights from bright white to deep blue which is nice. No options to change the green or red light though. The timer is also basic but gets the job done. You need to manually turn the timer on at the time of day you want the light to turn on to get it started which is annoying if you want it to turn on at 10a and you’re at work all week. Normally this is only a start-up issue but if you accidentally unplug the light or have a power outage you’ll need to repeat this process. There’s also only 6h, 10h, and 12h which is strange to me, especially since I found 8hr direct light works well. Overall for the price, this is a great light! ... show more

This light is has great lighting with the blues, reds, green, and pink LEDs. In the top left image that was my basic led that came with my fish tank and the one on the right is the light plant led light. You might not be able to tell a drastic difference on the images but wow the lighting is crazy. The light makes my plants pop more as well as my fish tank in general. It has a lot of options you can do such as brightness lvl, color changing mode, blue light for the night, and a schedule timer 6hr 10hr 12hr. I currently have mine at 10hr and the best thing is is that it'll turn on and off by itself as long as there is no power outage then you have to set the timer again. ... show more

Works very well and has many brightness/color options. Using this I found out my fish seem to really like the blue hue on a low setting. My fish are happy and it looks very cool in my living room. We’ve had this for a few months and it stays on 8+ hours a day and has worked perfectly.
