I love this light so much! So many different settings that's it's easy to find what works for you. I have an Oscar, and they prefer low lighting. I love how you can choose the intensity of the blue and white lights to the time of day. I like having low light at night so he can sleep, so the blue light is perfect for that, and mixing the white and blue make it perfect to appreciate his beauty during the day without making him anxious. Decided to switch to a LED light source after years of using florescent light fixtures and bulbs. I've had it for a few weeks now and my plants in my planted 20gal tank seem to be perking up. Algae is decreasing also. The controller makes this one very easy to use. And I especially like how it simulates sunrise and sunset by gradually getting brighter, and dimmer at the set times. Definitely more natural and realistic. The fish and plants are both benefiting from this light. And it brings out the fish's natural colors very well. My only complaint is. I wish I read a little more into the wattage, since my tank is heavily planted. So I prefer to have at least 2, or 3 watts per gallon. With this one only being 22 watts I either will need a second one or I'm just going to find a different one, with a little more output. But that was my mistake for not verifying watts before purchasing. But all in all, I'm very pleased with this light and it's function for the price. ... show more

This light has been an excellent replacement for my old school fluorescent light system, which finally flickered its last flicker. Due to the price, I didn't expect the level of quality, but have pleasantly surprised. All of my aquarium plants have literally sprung back to life, experiencing new and healthy looking growth, with baby plants springing up around the tank. The brightness is nice, the fish seem cool with it, with their colors popping better than before. And I didn't expect to use it, but the timer feature has been very convenient - I use the 12 hour setting. The controls aren't necessarily intuitive, but spend about 4 minutes reading the manual and you'll be good. There are some other control features that I haven't used, but could potentially be useful for those who want them. ... show more

A very reasonably priced, quality full spectrum LED. Dimmer function works well. Timer is kinda of cumbersome but I use a smart plug anyway & probably would anyway unless the light itself was "smart" enabled. I use the on my 20 gal tank that's 24 inches wide & it works perfectly for my purpose, light, plants & fish. I'd buy again & recommend with no reservations. ... show more

This light is has great lighting with the blues, reds, green, and pink LEDs. In the top left image that was my basic led that came with my fish tank and the one on the right is the light plant led light. You might not be able to tell a drastic difference on the images but wow the lighting is crazy. The light makes my plants pop more as well as my fish tank in general. It has a lot of options you can do such as brightness lvl, color changing mode, blue light for the night, and a schedule timer 6hr 10hr 12hr. I currently have mine at 10hr and the best thing is is that it'll turn on and off by itself as long as there is no power outage then you have to set the timer again. ... show more
