The card reader works as expected. Transferred my photos quickly (I do not have a speedtest though). I like the size of the reader itself, however it is difficult to get the memory card out. It's impossible to remove with your fingers, but with pliers it comes right out (as others have mentioned). Was definitely expecting a better product from SanDisk. Update & Modification: To make the card easier to grab, I took my dremel tool and made clearance to be able to get to the card better.     • Almost Perfect
The units are almost identical to one I purchased a year ago. The only problem I have is the SD chip is very tight going into the wide slot. The SD chip will come out with a bit of difficulty but the SD chip I tested did show all the files on my PC, Laptop and DVD recorder. I just hope that with time whatever is causing the tightness wears down and allows for easier insertion and removal without damaging the SD chips, ... show more

    • Great Reader - Easy to insert or remove card
I was skeptical about the function of this reader because some purchasers had trouble inserting and removing their cards. Perhaps the current ones have been improved because my cards inserted properly when they were aligned correctly and removal was easy. Note I’m using SanDisk cards.

I bought a used one from amazon, so maybe that's why I have trouble with it. It is VERY difficult to get an SD card in and out of it. Otherwise I am quite please with the benchmark results I get.

Yes, the first time I tried inserting an SD card it took me several minutes to figure it out. Once you get it in though you get the hang of it it is a lot easier. This aspect of the reader could certainly be better. When I transferred the results of a day worth of photography into the computer within a few seconds however I decided to completely ignore my initial problems with it, pick up my chin that had dropped on the floor and keep working. It justified the absurdly high price I paid for a 128 gb UHS-2 card for sure. ... show more

This SD card reader works well, does its job. The only negative point is that the card does not slide in very easily into the reader but you need to fiddle a little bit.
