  • Best if warmed or with high thrust ratio caulk guns
I'm not going to sugar coat this review. This clay extruder is torturous on someone with arthritic hands or suffering from any kind of hand/nerve damage like my carpal tunnel. Even my husband with good hands exclaimed how difficult it was to express clay with this. So no doubt you're wondering WTF did I buy it? Simply put: 1. No O rings to replace. 2. No screw threads to end up stripped by heavy use. 3. Easy to clean with very few parts. 4. Discs were very well made and heavy duty. I leave mine warming over an LED bulb, my tablet fan or just sit on it and that makes hand extruding easier. To make things even easier than simply warming everything up like a T.V. dinner, I am getting a high thrust ratio caulk gun to use with this tool. If looking to put this in a caulk gun, use one that is specifically for high viscosity caulk. Update 1/21/19: Makins extruder discs do NOT FIT in this extruder! ... show more

  • Good but hard to use
Good quality but better for someone with strong hands. Takes some manipulation and strengh to push Fimo thru. Put it upside down on the table and stood up to press with clay coming to the top. This was my first clay gun I ever bought but now found one that works easier.

  • Great product, bad delivery, lost discs
Great product. What discs I did receive worked well with my modeling chocolate project. Unfortunately some of the discs were lost when the packaging opened and the box that contained it had a large crack because the box wasn't tapped. I believe this may have been avoided if the item had been better inspected before being placed in the box for delivery. A little tape goes a long way. But I had a project that needed to be done asap and I didn't have time to reorder. This product helped me achieve the modeling on a birthday cake for my husband (see pic). ... show more

  • Not worth the price
This extruder would be ok only if the clay you're working with is consistently soft. I work mainly with Super Sculpey which tends to harden over time. The design shape of this extruder makes it almost impossible to squeeze out. The two handles are small and the plate that rests at your palm digs into your hand. Albeit to say the clay barely comes out the dryer the clay. So maybe not the best product for all clays. ... show more

  • CAUTION - PRODUCT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO EXTRUDE
It works but they should explain precisely and in bold lettering that product is VERY HARD TO EXTRUDE PRODUCT. People with arthritis or pain in their hands or fingers might find this product hard to manipulate.

  • A very good buy.
The only reason I don't rate with 5 stars is that it is hard to clean the clay out but otherwise this is an awesome product. I love how easy it is to use and the different attachments that come with it.

  • packaging=sucks! quality=ok
I received this very quickly so kudos for that. However if you look at the packaging it is tore up from the floor up! What the! I'm not sure why it would be taped up like that, so of course it makes me wonder if it was opened and now I'm missing pieces! It does say 22 pc but as of right now I'm only counting 19 pieces, including all the parts of the extruder. This wasn't the most expensive thing but come on now. As for the quality it seems durable and there is a good variety of designs to choose from. ... show more
