Bought these 4 months ago and still using the first one because they don't rust or degrade. Works better than the plastic sponges, especially on pots, pans and flatware. Started using them on dishes to remove sticky bits like pasta or eggs; great on baked surfaces; absolutely essential on SS cookware. I even use them when I scrub the sink. Good cleaning and scrubbing power. Well priced. Always keep on hand for tough stains. They don't smell. They last awhile. They are not absorbent, which is what I want. They don't seem to scratch surfaces that I have used them on. Good cleaning product.
