This kit made doing all the control arm bushings on my Miata an hour long job instead of a full weekend. After getting it set up it made the job cake. I managed to slightly bend the end of one of the allthread rods but it was mostly my own fault, I can just cut off the end and still use it. They’re good enough quality that doing a full set of control arms didn’t strip any of the threads. Only a couple things to note - Don’t use power tools unless you want to destroy the nuts, and keep a 1/2” drive random sized socket handy to add between the nut and bushing to push it with. The plastic container was damaged in a few places...the weight of the parts will self damage during shipping. Not a deal breaker for me. I used the M18 rod and two sleeves to remove a wheel bearing on a side x side. Worked just fine. I heated the hub with heat gun (I always heat my outer hub/carrier) and will freeze new bearing going back in. My thoughts...if you are pressing this unit to where bearings are shattering and rods are bending, then you need to introduce heat to the process. This isn't a 20 ton press. I bought primarily as an accessory to my 20 ton press but will take on our trips to WV and use as field repair tool if needed. Removing a stubborn large bearing is good enough for me to keep the set. ... show more

First off I pushed one bushing out on a 2013 Cadillac CTS and thought "alright this is going to work out." I was wrong. It did not work out. Infact I ended up needing to start the new bushing on a press because when I tried to start the bushing with the supplied rod and nuts the rod just bent and started my bushing crooked and I had to pull it back out. After I started it with a press the rod finally snapped in half before fully seating my bushing. Do not waste your money. Also whoever is making these does not understand how Standard numbering or fractions work i.e. sizes such as "64/44" and "55/45" prove this. Whole numbers are a thing. ... show more

I used this to press out four old control arm bushings and press new ones back in. It can be a little cumbersome getting all the pieces lined up but once aligned and snugged into place it worked good. It was a physical job because I used hand wrenches rather than an impact wrench. I was afraid the thrust washers may break from the jarring of an impact wrench. Also, I like to move slow and feel what is going on when performing these types of tasks. ... show more
