  • Good capacity, good construction, but discharge process needs work
Size: 5 Pack Color: Green
Good storage, strong, and fill up process. However discharging water for use thru the either the large or small capped opening is cumbersome. The loose fitting lids or caps always seem to be in the way when pouring water out from the container and when pouring out the smaller cap the proper vent fails to work properly. ... show more

  • Well made
Size: 1 Pack Color: Green
High quality, easy to use. My only complaint is that it's wicked heavy to lug around when it's full. I use it for car camping, where it doesn't take up too much space but holds a lot of water. We also use it for hurricane days in FL when we lose power and need water storage.

  • Fantastic for Water Storage
Size: 1 Pack Color: Green
There are a few reasons why this worked so well on a camping trip: 1. Dimensions Other water containers we've used are big giant cubes and are hard to carry and work with. The Scepter is Slim and tall (comparatively) which makes it easier to carry around without it banging into your legs like the cube-shaped ones. It's also easier to pour from with it being tall and having the air-bleed valve in a convenient spot. 2. Durability Built like a tank. Enough said. 3. No smell Ours didn't have a smell. Others have reported a smell, but ours didn't have one. Also it's BPA free. Downsides 1. The caps get in the way when pouring. Both the small and big. You have to hold them out of the way or else they swing down into the stream of water. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. All in all, a really, really solid storage can. Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Sturdy
Size: 1 Pack Color: Green
This is a sturdy, good quality water can. It can take a bit of rough handling and be none the worse for wear. I bought this to convert into a pressurized camp shower, and it does the job admirably. Worth the money to buy quality.

  • Not perfect, but really good.
Size: 1 Pack Color: Sand
As others noted, mine also came with a slight chemical smell that went away after I swished a gallon of tap water around in it for a few minutes. There were some slight quality control issues with the camp. on the underside of the big main cap, there were jagged plastic remnants. These were likely at some point molten plastic that seeped out from gaps in the mold during formation that stayed attached after the cap cooled. I would have sanded them down if I had sandpaper, but I instead used other sharp tools and my fingers to pick away the bits that probably should have been cut off the cap while it was at the factory. This proved to be a little tricky as the plastic is very strong and my work wasn't perfect. I don't think what's left will easily detach from the cap and land in the water inside the container, but the visual would be more reassuring if the remnants weren't there at all. I'm deducting one star because for a water container that costs this much, I was expecting flawless quality control. All that said, it still appears to be a great product and I'm looking forward to bringing it out on some desert adventures. It pours okay, looks great, and I have no doubts about its durability. I bought this because buying those cheap ones that seem more likely to break or get moldy feels worse than buying an expensive one that will last. I feel happy about giving it four stars and would give it 4.4 stars if I could. ... show more

  • Built like a tank
Size: 1 Pack Color: Sand
I use this for camping for drinking and camp sink. The construction is tough with thick plastic walls and durable cap. I have no worries this could take some knocks. When you combine this with one of the many cheap electric pumps on Amazon, it becomes super convenient to use for washing hands, washing dishes, dispensing drinking water into a glass or a dog bowl. Using a pump like that is best with an adapter. There are ones for sale, but I just used one of the freely available 3d print designs and it fits perfectly (and threads securely onto the Scepter). ... show more
