I just received this item in the mail a week ago. Pros: very nice cook set, non stick is great; heavy and sturdy; when not damaged, good quality. Cons: the first shipment brought a couple of scratched pans, on the outside on the bottom, even though they were stored in a little cloth bag, still scratched; two lids were scratched and one had broken glass; and some of the pots had a deformity/dent/scratch on the inside of the pot. Because of the broken glass lid I asked Amazon for a replacement, which was sent out the next day. I opened the second shipment and there were no broken glass lids. I swapped the scratched and broken lids from the first shipment with the replacement shipment. Then I looked at the pots and pans from the second shipment and compared them to the first. Some were in worse condition, and some were in better condition. I kept the ones in better condition. Some in the second shipment were dented on the outside, bottom part of the pan. Again, they were all individually wrapped in their own cloth bags. Which tells me the company packages and sends out these pans in these conditions and doesn't care. In the second shipment, 3 of 4 lids were not broken or scratched. Unfortunately I had to keep a scratched lid. I'm sure I may end up scratching a lid eventually, however I didn't want to ask for a third shipment due to the hassle of having to take return boxes back to a ups store. Again, the ones I kept I made sure were all pretty much perfect pans or pots and there were no scratches or deformities and I like them so far. cleaning is easy, they cook well and evenly. kinda heavy but I like it. I would have probably rated 5* if not for the condition of the defective ones when received. Update - i have updated my review to 4* total, with the downfall to the last star being the earlier shipping issues and scratches on the outsides of my cookware. I have been using these pans for over a year now, and they are simply the best i have used. Better than an Emerill pan, or other high end stuff you would buy at macys or other stores. I truly love these pans and will not go back. I have bought a separate grill pan and a griddle and will say those are amazing as well, they clean up nice and easy. Style: 10 Piece Set
These are excellent pieces of kitchen equipment and have proved to be very useful and highly functional. First, I am only reviewing the functions, not the mix of of the set, look at what you receive in this set to determine if it is what you want. These are extremely well made and with care will last a lifetime. They are as well made as my All Clad and that is saying something. About a year ago I bought a single pan of this series to test its efficacy for daily use in preparation of eliminating my other non-stick (primarily Teflon) cookware. It passed that test with ease so I bought this set. Like any non-stick cookware follow the instructions, you do not need to use high heat as you do with other stainless and cast iron cookware. I have cooked eggs, sauces, sear roasted in them and basically used them for all sorts of cooking and they have passed with flying colors. The non-stick coating seems durable and provides an easy release and cleans very easily I chose these pans as they are made in Denmark and I had concerns about using pans with ceramic coatings that were made in China. Denmark, the EU, Canada, the US all have strict safety regulations and I wanted to make sure that the coatings were safe. These pans do not contain any Teflon or PTFE. I would also like to point out the design, this cookware is very well designed and they look very stylish and modern. Any drawbacks? The only two drawbacks are the price and the weight. They are initially expensive but they are the kind of tools that will last a lifetime. A bit heavy but cooks evenly and I find I turn it down lower. Have had scanpan oven pan for over 5 years that works like new so was eager to try their induction ware. No visible plate on the bottom but a magnet strongly sticks to the sides of the pots which should mean induction works the whole pot. The stainless is much prettier and brighter than the picture more like our stainless appliances with mat finish. Although they say can tolerate higher heat, metal, and dishwasher in adds, not recommended. ... show more

    • The non stick lining is not as good as expected.

Two of the pans have stains from turmeric on the non stick lining and things do stick a little in the large pan. I called Scanpan company and they directed me to contact the seller on Amazon, This seller is not their registered seller. Now I am wondering how to contact this seller.

After getting my new Electrolux induction stove I have tried and returned Elo, Calphalon, Cuisinart. In all cases the model set I chose was the most top of that lines "Induction Ready" offerings. In every case the stainless steel must have been paper thin because it took between three and four full minutes to boil my "Standard" two cups of cold water. That is actually longer than my previous Jenn Air stove took so they were all returned. When these CTX Pans arrived the first thing I did was run the two cup boil test. I was astonished to see a full rolling boil in one minute flat. Then I cooked something saucy. Within four minutes on the five setting the pan was showing little simmer bubbles spread so evenly over the entire pan. I have now used these pans for a week. They are every bit as incredible as my new induction stove. My only disappointment is that the two saucepans are only 3/4 quart apart. One should be much smaller and the other much larger IMO. ... show more
