These are excellent pieces of kitchen equipment and have proved to be very useful and highly functional. First, I am only reviewing the functions, not the mix of of the set, look at what you receive in this set to determine if it is what you want. These are extremely well made and with care will last a lifetime. They are as well made as my All Clad and that is saying something. About a year ago I bought a single pan of this series to test its efficacy for daily use in preparation of eliminating my other non-stick (primarily Teflon) cookware. It passed that test with ease so I bought this set. Like any non-stick cookware follow the instructions, you do not need to use high heat as you do with other stainless and cast iron cookware. I have cooked eggs, sauces, sear roasted in them and basically used them for all sorts of cooking and they have passed with flying colors. The non-stick coating seems durable and provides an easy release and cleans very easily I chose these pans as they are made in Denmark and I had concerns about using pans with ceramic coatings that were made in China. Denmark, the EU, Canada, the US all have strict safety regulations and I wanted to make sure that the coatings were safe. These pans do not contain any Teflon or PTFE. I would also like to point out the design, this cookware is very well designed and they look very stylish and modern. Any drawbacks? The only two drawbacks are the price and the weight. They are initially expensive but they are the kind of tools that will last a lifetime. This cookware is absolutely fantastic! We purchased it for use on an induction cooktop to replace a previous set that was supposedly induction rated but certainly didn't live up to its billing (Berndes). Wanted cookware that performed like cast iron but that was not so heavy. While these pans are no lightweights that are lighter and, WOW, do they work well. They heat very quickly and very evenly. The nonstick surface works really well also but have noticed that sometimes a film remain after a light washing which requires a bit of a scrub. The surface also allow for great searing. This cookware is very well built and very good looking. Love this set in all respects except for the price. But, it is worth it. Regret not having purchased this set sooner. ... show more

I currently just sent an email to Scanpan to figure out a solution to this problem. I've used my pans once or twice and they're turning brown on the outside... there is no way I can clean it off. It looks horrible! I never had an issue like this with pans before - and I would always buy cheap pans. I was so hopeful for these pans. They cook great, but now I don't want to show them off. Update 7/6/11 After showing Scanpan photos of my problem they told me it looked like I was using them on a high burner - which I assured them I've only been using the medium to low settings (which the instructions say to use). Needless to say they said that in order to keep them the same silver color I would have to use metal polish on them. I did this... and I have to do this EVERY TIME I use the damn pans. I give up at this point. They are great to cook with - but if you want them to be displayed and look fabulous - don't bother. Update 1/26/13 Well, I have to use a ton of oil in all of the pans now because they are not non-stick... in fact everything still sticks to them with oil in them. It's horrible. I should've just got some cheap pans and tossed them out when then got this bad. And I've cared for them like they say: hand wash, medium heat (no high), no cooking spray... and still everything i cook sticks. :( ... show more

My husband purchased these because he wanted us to have nice pots & pans. They are very good quality and they heat up the food really fast and they are very well made. The main complaint I have is that the pans & pots are really heavy, it definitely takes two hands to carry a filled pot. One smaller complaint is that the lids have very sharp edges and are hard to clean. Overall we are very happy with this product. ... show more

I was watching this set on Scanpan's site. $699 and didn't budge. Grabbed it here on amazon for $620! The set is in perfect condition. No dents, lids fit perfectly. Some reviewers say the inside lip of the lid is sharp. I'd say it's more precise. I'm a long time user of scan pans and wanted this set so I could get rid of my lesser quality pots/pans. I've got 2 nonstick scanpans that I've had for about 20yrs. I'm rough on my pots and pans but my scan pans are rock solid. I expect this set to endure as well. Yes, they are on the heavier side but so are Le Creuset's. I've got a 40yr old Le Creuset that's still just as perfect as the first day I got it. You want the extra heft that Scanpan offers to have pans that last into the double digits. Love love love this set! ... show more

Good heavy pans that heat well on the induction range. Browning performance good so far. Nice looking but not all that was promised. Handles on small pans and skillets do stay cool. They are round cross-section metal and seem slippery however. OK for small pans but not on larger ones. Handles on the lids DO NOT stay cool, a major drawback. I wanted these to work out. They cook even and great and the quality is great yet the outside or metal part of the cookware is discolored. Has a yellow hue and I can't get out. I am disappointed, I will have to return them.
