The instructions say use water to put on, but it wasn't simple. I have a pelican paddle with a small lip on it and the grips need to get over that lip at least partially to be in the right position. I poured water inside the grips and on the paddle and tried to slide them on. It's difficult. They are tight. This is great when paddling knowing they won't slip when wet, but a beast when you're trying to get them into the initial place. I still ended up with a tender area on my hands after a few hours of kayaking, but it's 10x better than the trail of blisters that I got before the grips were on. ... show more

I had high hopes when I read “silicon” but when I tried it on it felt hard and likely become tiresome compared to competitors. For me, not enough give in the material for my long paddling trips. Not inexpensive compared to others.

These grips are well made and easy to install. Just separate the paddle halves, spread a little dish detergent on the shafts, and slide the grips on. Make sure you rinse off the detergent. The grips are comfortable and attractive. (if that matters)

We installed these on my wife's pelican paddle that we got with her Mustang 100. We did spray the inside with some WD-40 to slip down the handle easily and they've stayed in place with many miles on them. She is extremely happy with them and doesn't know how she would ever go back to paddles without them. ... show more

These paddle grips from SARDVISA are nice and thick; I find the texture and the increase in diameter they provide to be very comfortable. They don't slide around and they aren't slippery, but they're not the grippiest, either. On the plus side, they look and feel like they'll easily outlive neoprene alternatives. ... show more

Picked these up to go on a older Magellan paddle my son uses. They are snug going on, but if you are having issues getting them to slide in place, add a little soapy water inside the grip and on the paddle. Once applied, these slide on easily. The cushioning and added diameter increased the comfort and reduced any grip fatigue for longer paddling. They stay in place well once installed. The material feels like it should hold up well, so hoping to get plenty of life out of them. Like all plastic/rubber type material that will get a lot of exposure to sun and elements, I would recommend occasionally treating them with some kind of protectant.
