Description

Number of Items:1 The Sandusky Lee SC300F is an 18 gauge steel safety cabinet with two doors, two vents, one galvanized steel shelf, and a 30 gallon capacity suitable for storing safety cans containing flammable liquids. This cabinet has a double-wall 18 gauge welded steel construction with 1-1/2" air space for strength and to help reduce the risk of fire. Gauge is a measure of thickness (the lower the gauge, the thicker the material). The cabinet comes with two 2" vents to allow internal vapors to escape. Each vent has a fire arrestor and cap to help prevent liquids inside the cabinet from igniting. The shelf has a 500 lb. per shelf capacity, is made of galvanized steel for resistance to rust, dents, and certain chemicals, and adjusts in 2-1/2" increments to fit the height of stored items. The bottom surface of this safety cabinet can be used as a second shelf. The doors close manually and are attached to the cabinet with continuous piano hinges, which are more secure than typical butt hinges. The locking door handle has a three-point key lock to help secure contents and prevent unauthorized access. Two keys are provided for the lock. The door sill is 2" high to resist water and moisture. The cabinet has adjustable leveling feet for use on uneven surfaces, and has a powder coat finish to resist chipping and corrosion. The cabinet measures 44 x 43 x 18 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard 1910.106 and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 30 for the safe storage and handling of flammable liquids.Hazardous storage cabinets are used to store, organize, and segregate safety cans containing flammable or hazardous liquids. Some cabinets are made of galvanized steel and are double-walled to reduce the risk of fires. Others are made of polyethylene, which is resistant to certain acids and corrosive liquids. Cabinets may have standard hinged doors that close manually or self-closing hinged or sliding doors that close automatically. Cabinets can be color-coded: yellow for flammables, red for combustibles, blue for corrosives, green for pesticides, silver or light neutral for laboratory materials, and white or gray for other waste or outdoor lockers. Certain cabinets are FM Approved and meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for the storage and handling of flammable liquids. Hazardous storage cabinets are used in a variety of commercial and industrial environments and can also be suitable for home use.Sandusky Lee manufactures steel storage products for office, commercial, industrial, and educational applications. The company is headquartered in Littlestown, PA.

  • Not as sturdy as one would think.
Number of Items: 1
I ordered 2 of these cabinets for delivery because of the weight. They supposedly weigh 329 lbs. each. I am 64 and the delivery guy was 54. We easily lifted this large bulky cabinet directly from the ground. I would estimate the cabinet weighs no more than 120 lbs. The steel gauge is about the gauge of a cheap file cabinet. The manufacturer assured me that it weighs 200 lbs. Fancy that. Supposed to weight over 300 lbs. The only reason I ordered this through Amazon was for the delivery due to the weight. Other suppliers would not do delivery-to-door service because of Covid and/or the inability to bring a semi truck down my 500 ft long driveway. Very disappointed. Either I don't know my own strength, or someone is misrepresenting their product. Not happy. ... show more

  • 1 star taken off due to lack of extra shelf availability.

Nice cabinet. Came well protected and in perfect condition. It doesn't weigh 200lbs, but does it have to??? I don't think so. Biggest bummer is that they are pretty vague about why the don't have extra shelves available right now. Probably the same 2021 supply chain issues everyone else is having right now, but just come out and say it, and let us know when you plan to have them back in stock. ... show more
