This sand is great when dry. It is so fine, it will flow through just about any sized hole. This is very comfortable sand and fun for kids who like to play with sand toys. It is a little dusty, but not any more than any other dry sand you would use. When wet, this sand can stick if that is what you prefer. It is not the same as sand at the beach though, and can be frustrating if that is what you were hoping for. It will also get green/black from mold/algae if left wet and enclosed. I had no issues with bugs, but you should definitely keep it covered because the wind will blow in all kinds of dirt, leaves, and yard debris. Realistically, this would be an awesome indoor sand, but I would rather not have to clean up copious amounts of sand. ... show more
