Absolutely love this suitcase! Held everything we needed for a destination wedding abroad. The unique square shape matched up so well with our suits, long dresses, shirts, blouses, so they could lie flat, reducing wrinkles. Love the internal pockets for slippers, and shoes. Packing cubes for casual wear fit quite nicely. Surpringly light weight and wheels roll so well. Note: As airlines destroy luggage, I had a shoe repair shop modify a large square zippered Siam duffel with leather sewn-in reinforced openings for the wheels to fit the suitcase. ... show more

It fits my Brompton (C line mid sized handlebars) perfect. I do have to remove the seat but having a telescopic seat makes this a non issue. I did cut out some foam bed topper padding (25’x25”) to lay inside the case to protect the interior of the suitcase and for additional padding for the bike. The suitcase looks sharp, is durable, and rolls well. After extensive research on bike case suited for air travel I opted for this one and I have no remorse. The suitcase is under the 63 linear inches and I also throw in my shoes, tools, and some cycling clothing in with the bike and I’m still under the 50lbs. I think the A,C,P, and T line bikes with low to mid handlebars will fit in this case. I have doubt the high handlebars would fit in this case. For the high handlebar bikes perhaps the B&W case might be a better options ... show more

I fly a couple of times a month for week long business trips. I am sick of battling for overhead bins for my carry-on. I fly nonstop so I decided to start checking my bag. I did a lot of research before purchasing this. It’s an odd shape, but I like it because it really stands out when it’s coming down the belt at baggage claim. It’s roomy. There is a nice panel where you can put your shirts and zip them in. I wear suit jackets and pressed shirts for work and I find that I’m able to pull them out of the bag and just do minimal touchup with wrinkle release spray. It’s easy to pull and I feel like the wheels are pretty solid. It has a TSA lock which I never use cause I figure if they’re going to steal it they’re going to steal it. But it’s nice to have it available if I want to use it. Also, it’s a nice price compared to other bags in that same category. You can spend so much money on bags and I don’t know that that extra cash is worth it. I recommend! ... show more

Purchased 2 of these (Samsonite Stryde Hardside Glider Medium Journey, Blue Slate) as my 1st "hardshell" bags for international travel. This review is written after 9 months and 3 international trips Part of the attraction being that they are quite distinctive and easily recognized on the carousel. Despite their unusual dimensions they still fit a full height 3 part tripod diagonally though you need to take the head off and you can easily fit the full 50 pounds of luggage allowance while the dimensions suit all American carriers (and all international ones I know of) In use they have proved reliable, easy to maneuver and fairly tough (1 corner of 1 bag did get knocked in but a push from the inside restored it) and very very stable (presumably due to how low to the ground they are) Just remember which way is "up" so you don't dump the contents out when you open it. As an added bonus, they roll under the turnstiles for the MTA (NY city) subway and PATH - though they roll so well so need to be careful they don't get away from you when you do that. Can also be used to transport rack mounted gear so long as it is not more than 40cm (1' 4") deep or higher than 4U Overall very happy with them. They are not 'run over it with a truck' strong (just 'good for baggage handler' strong but that is the tradeoff you must pay for the lighter weight ... show more

This suitcase is large outside, but the interior space diminished in both halves by either the handle or the hanger rod. It primarily needs to serve as a big garment bag, but in that case, one may not need something quite this robust or heavy.

    • Perfect in every way

After 3 attempts I finally found the perfect carry-on suitcase. This one is the exact max size required by Alaska Air. I didn't want to risk it being too large for the overhead bins even by an inch. This one does expand if needed but I'm packing light for a long weekend trip. I love the color and the handle has a nice feel. Time will tell in regard to the wear/tear element but I am hopeful that as a Samsonite product it will hold up well. The wheels on these suitcases always seem questionable but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt until I put it to the test. ... show more

very cool suitcase. unique look and smooth wheels. but the zipper was not stitched on properly. i’ve had it for 2 weeks and didn’t even pack it full. just a bad stitch. not what i was expecting for a $200+ carry on
