This is my first set of hard-side luggage and I'm getting used to the difference! Also I've only used one piece of the three-piece set to date. This review is to comment on the color and my order experience: 1) COLOR - Be aware that the luggage is definitely maroon (brownish-red). It's an attractive color and I'm keeping the set. However, some might be disappointed the color is not as "burgundy red" as shown in the picture. 2) ORDER - This was a "used-like new" item so there was ~ 10% discount. Absolutely worth it. The item was in original packaging and appeared never to have been unpacked. (maybe they were disappointed with the color??). Overall happy with the purchase and hoping they work for my upcoming two week trip. ... show more

We bought these for a European cruise and they worked well. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is the internal clothes management. These have mesh screens that zip closed, but there are no straps to keep the clothes in place. We loaded them to the maximum 50 pound weight limit and still had space. The clothes sunk to the bottom. We didn’t use the expansions because we hit the limit with them closed. I guess packing cubes would solve the shifting issue, but then you add weight. Repurchase two of these suitcases traveled to Ireland and back. Trains planes and buses hardly a scratch. The mesh netting ripped in one suitcase by our own fault of what we put in but it was tiny. Can't wait to our next trip
