Took some time figuring this one out. After messing with it enough I have all the controls down pretty well now. It holds temps really nicely which is exactly what it needs to do. This would make a really good incubator for someone wanting to hatch a medium size clutch out. Would be nice for a classroom since you can see into it so well. Well , the book says it’s preset to 100.3 per the instruction book. It keeps going up to 100.5 and jumping all over. Contacted them the first time , they said contact the seller. I said your name and info is on the incubator. Then the next email said give is a few days. Then an email not even in english! So i say Do Not Buy!! ... show more

I've had this since May but only now open the box to test it out before hatching season starts up again in a month. I was so excited when I open this box. This incubator is beautiful. The tight fitting foam is a must have for these type of incubators that aren't insulated themselves. I plugged it in and went through the functions. Everything was fairly easy to figure out. I left it on to let it come up to temperature but when I came back to it, I noticed it was it wasn't even reaching 70. So I put the foam back on it and left it for a couple more hours. When I came back to check it, it was only showing a slightly warmer temperature. I haven't used an incubator that I have that is similar to this unit since last spring so it didn't dawn on me immediately, but once I was trying to figure out why it wasn't getting warmer, I realized the fan wasn't working. And the coils aren't even warming up. I can't see any loose wires. This is super disappointing. This is such a beautiful incubator that seems really well put together. I get that I probably just got a faulty unit but it's still such a waste. My advice is to open and plug this unit in as soon as possible and make sure it's working properly so you can return or exchange it and the event that yours is faulty, too. ... show more

Item comes in a marked box. Nothing pretty, but could be good for gifting. It's pretty much ready to go out of the box. You put on the lid and plug it in. It defaults to chicken egg settings, which is what I needed it for. It does provide decent instructions for changing modes, but I have not tried that. The instructions are fairly clear. It's very easy to add water. The candling light is bright. It also provides a little spray bottle for misting eggs in the incubation process. The digital display is bright and easy to read. I let it warm up for about 12 hours before putting my eggs in. The egg turner is very gentle and silent. To change the humidity, you just slide the air vent open or closed. It has been keeping the temp and humidity pretty constant. Don't throw out the styrofoam packaging, as you are instructed to use it to insulate the machine if in a cold room. Otherwise, you could just use a towel. I love the incubation record card, which tells me what to do each day. This is great for beginners like us. While we haven't hatched our eggs yet, I would recommend, so far. I will update my review should we experience any issues. ... show more
