Purchased these back in 2022 because I was having problems with my garage door. But every time I started having problems they would quit and everything would work again so these sensors stayed in the packaging. Then before Christmas (2023) they completly quit working so I replaced them with the new ones and, of course, the new ones didn't work. I checked power coming into the sensors, I even took them down and direct wired them into the garage door opener, and they still didn't work. Talked to my garage door guy and told him everything I did and he told me that they had to be bad. Guess they must have been made in CHINA! ... show more

These are great replacement safety sensors for the garage door opener. I loved that it was easy to install them. I am thankful that many people bought these before me, and discussed about reversing the wires. Had I not read that, I would have been very frustrated while trying to install these. I had to install the black sensor wire to the white garage door opener wire. The polarity is definitely reversed. Other than that, great product! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just as others noted and I had read the reviews to know when installing, the wires on the new units are labeled/color coded wrong. My existing wiring is all white and white with a black stripe. The black stripe is often the negative indicator. The white and black wire on the units which are also marked with a negative symbol, needed to be connected to the solid white wire of my existing wiring. The white positive wire on the units I connected to the white with black stripe existing wire and BINGO! Hand in front of the one with the green light and the green light goes out. Finished up my wiring connections and then mounted the units which fit in my existing brackets. Could have been a 10 minutes job without the wiring testing but still only 20 mins. I still don't know which is the emiter and which is the receiver but the green light is the only one that goes on/off. The amber light stays on all the time. ... show more

Great replacement safety eyes for the garage door. Splice the wiring into your existing wiring and don’t touch the wires at the back of the garage door opener. Before you make permanent connections, just twist the wires together and determine that you have the polarity correct. On one side, you’ll know because you’ll get a solid light and then on the other side you’ll know if it doesn’t operate the garage door. You probably have your wires backwards. But make all your adjustments near these eyes and not on the back of your garage door opener, just a suggestion. ... show more

We accidentally tore off the old hazard sensor, so I replaced it with this device. I noted that the wires were color-coded so I matched the leads with the existing wires routed to the opener. It didn't work. Suspecting that the leads might be reversed, I swapped the wires and it worked fine. Other than that, the replacement was a good value. And no, it does not integrate with Alexa. ;) ... show more

My husband and I installed it. Very easy to put together. My husband didn't switch the wires at all. He left it like it should and it still worked. It does have one green and yellow light but that doesn't bother us. It WORKS is what matters. If I ever need this product again I will be ordering from this seller ... show more
