Description

Are crawling insects a problem in your home? Safer Home Diatomaceous Earth Ant & Crawling Insect Killer is effective against a variety of crawling insects including ants, fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, silverfish, earwigs, and more. Safer Home Ant & Crawling Insect Killer takes care of pest problems without the use of harsh chemical sprays. The formula is non-staining and has no odor, so you can confidently apply it in and around your home. Diatomaceous earth is made up of finely crushed algae fossils. Though it feels soft to the touch for us, each microscopic piece is like a tiny shard of glass to small insects. It damages insects’ exoskeletons as they move across it or ingest it. Insects become dehydrated and die within 48 hours after contact. Keep in mind that large infestations can take a few days for insects to make contact. Apply Safer Home Diatomaceous Earth Ant & Crawling Insect Killer in areas where you suspect or anticipate insect activity, spread it as a barrier to entry points in your home, or apply directly on insects. This product is suitable for application both indoors and outdoors. It is also OMRI Listed and compliant for use in organic gardening. Reapply after rain or watering to replace the powder that has washed away. Note: This product is NOT Food Grade.

  • It's works!
The media could not be loaded. Hello ladies and gentlemen, this ride requires seat belts, snacks, and a few minutes of time for reading. First off, yes it works. It works a little too well, but that's a story for another day. Today is all about how it works in the general sense. I live out in the countryside between 3 (yes you read that right- 3) goat farms. They also have the occasional cow, donkey, horse, ect ect thrown in there. One neighbor is bad for letting their bales of hay rot, and if anyone reading this knows anything about farming, hay, and rot you know bugs love that stuff. And not just one type, but all of them. So imagine multiple bales of rotting hay full of bugs, and then imagine said neighbors burning those rotting bales of hay and you might understand how I ended up with a bug problem. Oh and another neighbor has like 20 hunting dogs penned up that are covered in fleas and mange. Ants, spiders, fleas, cave crickets, roaches, weird red evil looking centipede creatures, and more. Well not bedbugs as I've seen most reviews on here for, those sound awful and I'm thanking my lucky stars I didn't have to deal with those. But Seriously, I was at my wits end. With the bugs, with the neighbors... honestly I was ready to throw hands. Instead I suffered thro a couple years of going broke buying bug killers for the house, for my poor dogs, and the stray cats that kept getting dropped off or that ran away from the neighbors little cat addict kid. Now here I am in 2022, it was summer, the dogs are covered in fleas and digging their fur off despite the many products sprayed on them, put in their baths, and even fleas pills given once a month. I'm ready to kick them out of the house along with myself as the ants and roaches were joining each other and obviously plotting to take over my kitchen. Well it just so happened I joined a plant group on fb and many ppl complained about fruit gnats in their plants. Lo and behold one helpful angel mentioned this stuff to get rid of the gnats and the eggs in the plant soil. I go to look it up and heh it says it kills crawling bugs so obviously I had to buy it and try it. Yeah I was skeptical at first because hey I bet I've spent over 5k on other products that just don't cut it. But I said why not, what's $10 more dollars in the well of bug killer debt right?! Y'all... I think I cried but I'll get to that. A little warning that I needed but didn't get because I didn't read the reviews- this stuff gets EVERYWHERE, and I'm okay with that but that first realization was a shock to the senses. Seriously wear a mask when spreading this stuff inside. And if you decide to vacuum it up make sure you clean out the filter if your vacuum has one. I used an air compressor to blow the filter of mine out and even what was in that little filter made me look like I was auditioning for a lead role in frosty the snowman. I wish I'd took a photo of the very first use of this stuff. Me and my kids looked like trauma survivors in shock covered in white powder. And the living room looked like a scene from the movie Blow. Only add in a scene where the product was exploded by a pack of derange coyotes who decided to have a party. Pretty sure my kids and dogs have ptsd. But I digress. I put this in the carpets, in cabinets, and on my dogs backs. Expectations were low because as stated already I've bought and used a lot of bug killers and nothing has even dented the bug population on my property or in my house. Lord this is getting long so I'll switch to a bulletin graph type writing Day 1- still skeptical AND now covered in a powder that refuses to wash from any and every crack it may have landed. Kids and dogs eyeing me with disgust and distrust. Dogs scratching like there's a tomorrow, its a competition, and if they don't peel their skin off they lose 1st place trophy Day 2- Woke up and realized it wasn't a nightmare and everything still looks like a Blow scene gone wrong. Kids won't talk to me. Dogs are looking at each other a little bewildered that the other wasn't still in the scratching competition. Kitchen ants are packing up their battle camps. I'm a little less skeptical... Day 3- Went to the kitchen and panicked because I noticed one of the kids spilled sugar while making a bowl of rice crispy cereal. Then noticed there are absolutely no ants in sight. None. Dogs are napping like they haven't slept in a year. Which isn't far from the truth since the fleas were on a mission to give them insomnia. Honestly I'm now a believer Day 4- kids and dogs are my best friends again. They love me (well they love the choice I made in buying this dirt). No ants, spiders, fleas, evil centipedes, roaches, or any other bugs in sight in the house or on the animals. So after the first week we gave the dogs a bath and waited till they were dry to take them OUTSIDE to put the dirt on their backs. Again dogs acted like i was a leper but theyarent scratching so ill live w my new status. My porch was white w podwer and still is honestly but the ants and stuff that would go after my canna lillies and other flowers are m.i.a. and I'm okay with that too. That was just in month 1 of using this stuff, well not even a full month just half of one and now it's been over 2 months and still no bugs in the house or around it and my porches. I was just talking to my mom about buying more to put under the house and in the 4 acres of yards this coming spring and decided to write my review. Usually we buy the bug killer pellets for the yard and spread it for fleas, spiders, and ticks but it really doesnt work after 3 days or rain. For those that aren't spider haters, we have black widows and brown recluse spiders galore where I live and the neighbors spray for them and run them onto my property. I hate using dangerous chemicals like they do because of the honey bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies so basically suffer thro finding these spiders in place I'd rather not have them. Anyway, yes I cried. First I cried because of the mess I made w it, but then I cried because it freaking WORKED. It worked so well. My dogs are back to sleeping in my bedroom soundly (them and me), the kitchen is a war free zone again- goodbye sugar ants & roaches, I'm not being terrorized by middle of the night spider raids, and I can enjoy my flower beds without being eaten alive by red ants. Sure, we were picking dirt grit out of our teeth and ears for a week after the first time we used this stuff but 10/10 would buy again. Oh wait... I am buying it again! And probably going to stock up on this stuff since the neighbors aren't going to quit their shenanigans anytime soon. Okay you can un-buckled now. Ride is over for y'all lol Edited to add within a week of posting my review the price went up 8 dollars geezus. ... show more

  • Buuh Bye Bugs
Best bug repellent and killer around. Hands down. Eliminates every creepy crawler. We use it both indoors and outdoors. Extremely effective and works quickly. We use it along the outside property perimeter as a barrier both outdoors and inside the house perimeter. Shoot it into crevices where bugs like to hide - we use it in our wood deck. Currently trying to see if it will eliminate termites and so far, it looks like it has due to less activity (will update in a month). You can use it indoors without health issues and in your garden. It does NOT leave any odor nor stains. Works by dehydrating insects. personally, I think this is a must in every home. We no longer use sprays only this product. Recommend. Effective, quick action, and great value. ... show more

  • Works good for shelled critters. Messy but works! BB! Evil creatures.
Used for bbs. It is messy, but worth it to get rid of those evil insects. I opened up every outlet and poofed it in with a special applicator. I Removed light fixtures and fire alarms to create a barrier. When I found an infested area in my bathroom (yes in the bathroom! I kept seeing them and found they had been in the toilet tank! WTF?!) I sprinkled this all around the bathroom in the corners, along the wall, brushed into baseboards, in the cabinets, in cracks around the medicine cabinet and around the toilet. Proof applied under tank lid and on the tank inner parts. If it gets wet it is no good, so must be reapplied often in areas that get wet. I poof applied it all around the apartment baseboards, cracks in flooring, on the bed under a cover, on the pillows under a cover, on the sofa, with a poofer it will stick to walls and furniture legs etc. then I just sweep or vacuum up any extra. Again, still messy but worth it! the first month I kept finding dead dried evil creatures in crevices and in the powder I laid thick around my toilet. And tub. I think they are coming through the walls on the pipes from the apartment above me. After a month it started to lessen. It’s been 4 months and I haven’t seen a live one in two months. I have only found one dead one in the last month. I use this and eco raider bb spray. I have a dog and 2 cats so I try to avoid poisoning them. These things are safe and seem to work well together. 5 years ago we had an outbreak of these evil things. We were free and clear for 4 years. I did throw out some furniture that first time. But with diatomaceous earth and a large heater tent they vanished for 4 years! Unfortunately I did not upkeep the diatomaceous earth barriers in the wall and floor/ ceiling and in a sudden overwhelming month they reappeared everywhere. (I think someone did the big bb mistake and fumigated or bombed. This does nothing but spread them about!) the first time we got them they were in one room only initially, then I brought them to the futon in the living room. Tossing the futon was all the living room needed, but the bedroom took a few months to clear out. I heated everything that fit in the tent. I tossed the bed and slept on a yoga mat until they were gone long enough I felt safe to buy a new bed. Which i encased. Now all furniture I buy i take bb into account. Are there hidy holes? Can I use catchers on the legs? Is it a color that makes them easy to spot? This is important. Anyway. These things are in my building. Many many units. So though I feel I have beat them for a second time, this time I intend to stay on top of prevention, and diatomaceous earth is the #1 tool I will use. It works. It’s not an immediate killer, it is messy but it kills thoroughly with time and consistency. It is also a great barrier. Just don’t get it wet. And use eco raider. It kills for 2 weeks after it dries. I don’t think any other spray does that. And there are heater rental companies in major cities. In Los Angeles it’s $100.00 a day to rent a heater big enough for a small apartment. Heat is the ONLY 100% cure. If you have them bad you have to use heat! And please don’t fumigate or bomb! You will only spread them around your home and if you live in an apartment you will send them to your neighbors! Like my neighbor did! ... show more
