Style: ARSENIC in Drinking Water Test Kit
My family lives out in the country and therefore we have well water. Well water naturally has arsenic but we have to be cautious about the levels. Last year my Mom got a water test from the county for $300 and tested high for arsenic. My Mom started getting water from local water purification stations but at her age I can't let that be a permanent solution. So when I was in town I ordered the Safe Home arsenic test for $59. It was so easy to do. I followed the instructions very carefully. Only tricky part was writing some info on the sample container cause it got a little wet. So you need to make sure it is very dry before writing on it. The postage was prepaid and got our results back in less than a week! Unfortunately the results confirmed the original county test showing arsenic levels double the EPA limit! So after further research I decided to buy a reverse osmosis system meant for well water for $500. It was somewhat straightforward to install. But after it was installed, I ordered another Safe Home arsenic test to see how well the filter was working. After a week, we got the results and they were at 20% of the EPA limit. I was thrilled. My family could begin drinking the water again. The home test was so easy and way cheaper than the county test. Plus it was fast. Just one week as opposed to a month from the county to get results. I will be ordering the Safe Home test yearly so I can monitor the levels and make sure my family continues to have good drinking water. ... show more

  • Easy To Use, Very Detailed Results
Style: ULTIMATE Drinking Water Test Kit
I had been looking for a water test kit for quite some time, and was so happy to find such a comprehensive test. --> Pros: - Dead simple, in fact I had this sitting on the kitchen counter for weeks because I thought it would be difficult -- it was nothing more than pouring wanted into a couple of containers, sealing them up and shipping them off with a pre-paid label - Tests for everything under the sun! - Also has a bacteria test that you perform yourself - They email you a comprehensive report once the results are processed where you can look up all the ingredients or contaminants to learn more about what is in your water that might be harmful --> Cons: - Cost -- obviously this is not a cheap test, but if you care about your water, you owe it to yourself - The PDF file that they sent and the website are a little hard to follow. Especially when clicking on the PDF to get more info on the website leads to sometimes ambiguous or hard to understand terminology or descriptions, and their user interface is not good, so it took me a while to figure out how to get a deeper understanding of the potential contaminant level of something or what it even meant. They could use a UI/UX refresh on their website --> Overall: A great value for the money, comprehensive, easy to implement test that tells you all the potentially harmful things that can be in your water. Aside from a glitchy website, all the information you need is right there. ... show more

  • Horrible Horrible IT
Style: PREMIUM Drinking Water Test Kit
IT is awful. Sign up and the system doesn’t remember you. Why on earth would you provide such a lousy user experience. Go back to the drawing board or keep ripping people off. Your choice. Not worth the headache.

  • Great customer service
Style: ULTIMATE Drinking Water Test Kit
I bought this kit and paid a lot of money in hopes that I would have a quick and accurate response and help if needed. I registered the kit on line as I instructed with no issues. I had a question regarding filling the bottles and called customer service. The staff member who promptly took my call was very friendly and informative. I sent my kit and started receiving emails updating me on the progress of the testing. They gave me a date when to expect the results. I received the results on that exact date and accessed them easily. Great experience with this company! ... show more

  • Test Your Well Water for Arsenic
Style: ARSENIC in Drinking Water Test Kit
I ordered the test after reading that well water can potentially contain high levels of arsenic that's naturally found in rocks beneath the surface. The kit arrived quickly and it was easy to collect and return the sample for testing. The lab emails you when they receive the sample and when the results are posted. The ideal level of arsenic is zero. The EPA sets the acceptable upper limit at 10 parts per billion. New Jersey is even stricter at 5 ppb. My water tested at 36.3 ppb which is high and unsafe. I've been drinking the water for 23 years and have experienced several of the symptoms of arsenic poisoning. Arsenic can cause numerous health programs including cancer, heart disease, neuropathy, skin disorders and is absorbed by all of your organs. There are several ways to eliminate the arsenic from contaminated well water. If you have a private well, I recommend you get the water tested. The cost of the test is minimal to know if your water is unsafe. ... show more
