  • Keeps my Filament dry
Size: 2 LBS
I have been using it for about 2 weeks and it is already starting to change color as I do not have a perfectly air tight box. Seems to work great. Dont know about how the nicrowaving to remove the moisture will work but we will see.

  • Work well, Once. Only for tightly sealed containers
Size: 7.5 LBS
All the folks using these in closets and non-sealed containers are wasting their time. They are slow to absorb moisture and if there's any airflow at all, even a pinhole, that makes them useless. They work really well the first time but i have tried many times to get them to fully re-charge without success in a humid environment. New, the humidity in a sealed container is about 5-10% (very good). After they turn from orange to red, the lowest relative humidity is about 20% (not so great for long term storage). Recharging in the south (Texas gulf coast) never goes back to orange, just red. A note on "sealed containers" a surplus ammo can works great. Most of the plastic storage boxes, even with seals are not adequate for long-term storage in humid locations. ... show more

  • Works great for filament dry box
Size: 1.2 LBS
I purchased these for a dry box to store 3D printer filament. It lowered my box's humidity to a good enough storage point If anything I wish I would have bought more, but this is a great start.

  • It can be done
Size: 2 LBS
Replaced old beads in a few safe devices. It’s a bit of a messy job, just plan on it, and use some method of containing stray beads coming and going.

  • Highly recommend!
Size: 2 LBS
I live in the great Northwest near the Pacific ocean 🌊. Beautiful, lush & green. And wet, It rains a lot. The moisture has always been a problem here. I've tried all kinds of dessicants over the years. Most were a total waste of time and money, ineffective and messy. This one works!!! There's no mess and it's reusable! When it came I bought some small clear plastic containers from the dollar store, poured dry & dry into them & poked small holes in the lids. I placed them around the house & in the R.V. when they turned from orange to brown I poured them onto a large plate and microwaved them to dry them out, put back in the plastic containers and set them back in place. So easy 😁 ... show more

  • Wonderful for 3D-printing
Size: 7.5 LBS
I use these in absurdly massive quantities that I hang in the enclosure of my 3D printer using some spice strainers. I get 11% humidity in the enclosure. It's amazing. Then I just heat that and the filament overnight for the next print.

  • 1 Quart orange premium desiccant
Size: 2 LBS
I'm using this in my 24 gun safe to keep the humidity down has been working well has brought the level from 55 to 43 percent humidity. I had to recharge the beads after a couple days. This should slow down after the humidity stabilizes in the safe. If your going to buy the beads you'll need a container to put them in first I used a mason jar with the lid removed and just the ring to hold a piece of screen wire over the mouth of the jar. The top of the beads turned green but seemed like the deeper beads were not changing color and the humidity was not really dropping much. You really need to have as much of the beads as you can exposed to the air. So I came up with an idea and cut the feet out of my wifes old panty hose sheer type I poured the beads in them and tied the open end off with twine so that I can remove the string and dump the beads out when they need re charged. This allows me to see the beads when they change color and exposes more of the beads to the air which has quickly brought the humidity level down vs the jar. I have re charged the beads only once so far but didn't need to bake them for the 2 or 3 hrs like some had said mine dried out and changed to orange again after only an hour on speed bake in the oven at 225. These work great so far no complaints has brought the humidity in my safe down in only a day or two after placing them in the panty hose. I don't recommend leaving them in the hose if your going to bake the beads. You may come up with a better idea but what ever you do it seems critical to have as much of the beads exposed to the air as possible at one time vs all of them in a jar with the top open. I really have no complaints they work well the hardest part is just coming up with some thing to place the beads in that allows enough contact with the air. ... show more
