The AMYET S8 is really fun to ride. I watched several You tube videos by owners and admittedly there aren't too many. but those who have it posted a few times and they all love it and find it to be the best at its price point. It took me and my friend A. about 1.5 hours to put together. No issues but we both thought 2 people make mounting the front tire and brakes easier. Everything lined up well and fit snugly. The heft of the metal frame is noticeable. The seat is generally comfortable after 50 miles. The step pedals for the second rider get in my way of pedaling when they are is the closed position so I always need to open them up for more room. Acceleration is awesome; front tire will spin in AWD mode so i generally start up in RWD and switch as I get going. Top speed is 32 out of the box. I have not fiddled with the settings yet but will do so shortly. Got my 2 adult daughters to ride it and they loved it. One has her motorcycle license and finds it very comfortable. My wife enjoyed it so much she convinced me to order a second one for her. We love pedal biking but these e-bikes are for touring a very hilly neighborhood. At age 60+ we need the assistance. I do some pedaling and like that this extends the battery up the hills, but admittedly I am using power only 90% of the time and love it. Suspension is terrific, battery life not as robust as advertised but the power is more than expected. No complaints at all and highly recommend. It also fits great in my Hollywood Racks Destination E bike rack which I recommend. One wish list would be a small metal rod at the end of the seat to attach an extension for a bag or rack. The bike was delivered in 5 days. Packed very well, no damage. Mostly preassembled and didn't take much to finish it. I had been looking for a bike with peddle assist for over a month. Hundreds to choose from. The AMYET S8 is not only comfortable, well constructed, nice to look at but also has many features for a reasonable price. Dual 1000w motors, 48v 25AH battery, Hydraulic disc brakes, Front and rear suspension, up to 9 peddle assist modes, 7 gears, large headlight, taillight, horn, brake light, turn signals, fenders and a comfortable seat. I have rode it for several miles and am very impressed with the comfort and power. I had an issue with speed not being as much as I thought it should be. I contacted Amyet customer support to inquire about the issue. Within minutes I received a text telling me what to do to take care of the issue. A few minutes later, after doing what customer support told me the issue was resolved to my complete satisfaction. I am impressed with the quality, comfort, operation of this bike and customer support. I am a 76 year old man who is really enjoying getting out and riding again after many years off of bikes of any kind. I have gotten many complements from neighbors as I ride through the neighborhood. This bike is actually a really good deal for what you get. I said you get what you pay for because my only negative thing about this bike was I spent an hour assembling it, just to find out the motors weren’t working at all nor the brake lights. I was super bummed because It sure does look great and I was super excited to test ride it. I was gonna return it, however the seller did see my first negative review and messaged me right away, they sent me videos back and forth and I was eventually able to fix a couple of wires and got the bike working properly. I’m super glad they were able to help me out so shout out to them because this bike is such a joy to ride. The duel motors are amazing, I’m 185lb and this thing goes 32mph top speed and usually averages around 29mph just holding full throttle. So far, I’ve only put about 15 miles on the bike, but It’s been amazing. My only thing is the battery definitely does not last even close to 75 miles unless maybe you’re only on the lowest pedal assist setting. I’ll probably end up upgrading to a bigger 50 V battery eventually down the line and hoped that that will help it last a little bit longer but other than that pretty much what you pay for. ... show more
