We use this in our RV and it does a nice job. We camp at a lot of state parks and the water is usually very hard. This thing makes it soft as butter and keeps the scale off my nice new black fixtures. We've only used it on a couple trips so far but we've put probably 600 gallons through it and it doesn't show any signs of slowing down. according to the specs, we expect it to last a full season before needing regenerated. We received this water softener and when opened the short hose was damaged. Called the company and within 3 days replacement was received. Excellent customer service. Set it up as per the instructions and within a short time we noticed the difference in the water. We now use less soap, laundry feels better, etc. Highly recommend ... show more

When we go on our RV adventures, we just never know what the water will be like. So, I got the NPGLOBAL portable water softener and it works great. To set the softener up, just connect the water hose to the inlet then connect the hose to your RV, easy peasy. There are a bunch or deferent connection options provided. The test strips are a nice addition, but I would probably not use them, because we keep the water softener on anytime, we connect to outside water. We put in an inline pre-filter that protects the water softener from any sand or rust in the water. The softener helps to keep your skin, hair and pipes from hardwater buildup. I recently got back from a 10 day vacation and took this water softener with me to test it out. I was visiting in Florida so I knew the water there would be hard and full of all type of stuff. This hooked up easily and came with a bunch of different things, like water splitters, 90 degree connection, GHT to GHT, water hose, etc. It even came with a water tester. It did leak at first on the water out side, but I just had to do a little tightening and then it stopped leaking. I was a little confused as if you read the manufacturer's site they say don't use this for drinking but it is listed as a RV water softener. I don't think there is a RV where you run drinking water and normal water separately. However, to be on the safe side I put a filter on the back side of the softener. When I initially turned this on there was a lot of orange colored water that came out so I would recommend running this for about 3 minutes before hooking up to the RV. I ran it only a minute and then hooked it up and I got a little inside, but it didn't hurt anything. Overall, I like this softener. The test strips came back very low on water hardiness which means less wear and tear on my RV. It isn't the lightest thing in the world, but once you drain the water out it is manageable. I like that it has a neoprene sleeve on it that is bright orange as it makes it easy to see. I would recommend this. ... show more
