  • Works great at drying out the creosote in the chimney
It worked so well, I ordered some for my sister to use too.

  • This product works!
I have been burning wood for 40 years, and used Rutland chimney cleaner for 20 years, I cannot tell you how important it is to use this regularly and my chimney stays clean. It is very important to clean out the chimney at the bottom as needed. This product drys and loosens the creosote and it falls to the bottom. I run my chimney brush once in the summer and what is there falls right off. The less I have to get on the roof the better. This product works! Don’t take a chance of creosote build up which will lead to a chimney fire and chimney damage or a house fire. Don’t be afraid to try this it works! ... show more

  • Works better than logs
I purchased the product for removing creosote from the inside of my chimney at the recommendation of my chimney sweep. He said that these were much more efficient than the creosote removing logs in his opinion. It is much easier to use a lot less expensive than purchasing the creosote logs, it’s very simple to put a treatment on top of the hot coals several times a week to eliminate creosote buildup on the inside of your chimney. I keep the container very close to the fireplace so I remember to do it periodically. I think the price is also a lot less than buying the Creosote logs. ... show more

  • would never be without this when having a woodstove
I use to buy the logs to keep my woodstove pipes clean but there only good for one use and honestly are outrageous! This stuff keeps the pipes clean and free of any possible build up I use it atleast once a week since our wood stove is used almost exclusively.

  • GRWAT STUFF WORKS WELL!! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS
Works great it’s first time I ever used it PLEASE READ THE CAUTIONS!! I had added this to the coals and in doing that it was smoking outside when I went to get more wood there was a really really bad odor. I did not like the smell and thought this is stuff I added to the wood burner I don’t want to breath. Be carful and alert. Pics after using for two months heavy creosote used two different days then cleaned it scraped right off good stuff would buy again ... show more

  • Stop the creosote
I apply as directed and the product burns right away. I will know for sure this summer when I clean out my chimney how well it worked but I am hopeful it does its job

  • Not positive this product works.
So, new house, new chimney. I burn about 3 cords of wood a winter. Second winter starting. I do anything I can to try to prevent a chimney fire and to have several ways to put one out the best one can on hand. I live out in the country. If your house catches on fire, it's gone. With all that said, I went ahead and had my chimney swept as a precaution. I also use this stuff religiously. I go up and beyond the instructions. I use it every fire I build. So, almost daily. I also use double of what it says. I went through 3 tubs of this last year. My chimney sweeper said that this stuff or a sweep log really doesn't work. I would hope it does and will continue to use it just in case, but I can not find any proof online. I don't want to see a video from the company who makes it. I want to see an independent review. ... show more
