We're fighting a battle against a feline territory war. At least to human noses, this seems to do the best job at eliminating the scent and cleaning the carpet. We've tried the Bissell Oxy and Antibacterial formulas, and they're good, but I like this better for cat-urine-stained carpet. We use it in a Bissell machine. It's foamier, which can cause the dirty-tank float to read "full" a little earlier. I'm willing to tolerate that for what seems to be better cleaning. The smell is artificial but pleasant. Excellent solution. I probably would have bought a smaller container. This larger one will now last me forever. I used this with the store rental machine and the results were professional and possibly a notch more than what I would have experienced with a quick professional clean?
