2 MONTHS LATER: best mop ever! Great for my 1906 redwood floors, and for my very worn laminate (something plastic?) kitchen & bath floors. It's light, it works smoothly, the trigger doesn't wear out my thumb. From a lifelong loathing of anything to do with cleaning floors, to mopping as a light workout! Not only super easy to use, it really gets the floor clean. My kitchen floor got seriously filthy (needed to be mopped 3 times - any mop wd have needed a lot of time / water / whatever). At the end it was CLEAN. 3x w Reveal mop was immensely less taxing & much more convenient than a squeeze mop and 3 changes of water. If I'd used my Swiffer Wetjet, I would've gone through 3-5 pads & left a lot of dirt behind. Cleaning the bathroom floor took about a minute. I can't say enough...a real 5 star product. Now I've ordered the dust mop cover, so I can clean more often without the hassle of vacuuming. If you want a mop for a medium size home (1800'²), get this. UPDATE: This really is the perfect mop. I've started cleaning the floor *just because it's dirty*. Like a Swiffer but works better, no wasteful & expensive pads, use any cleaning product you like. Amazing! Just got it. I HATE cleaning floors, especially mopping. On first use, this is a miracle mop. A tiny bit easier than using a wet Swiffer: the microfiber pad goes on easier and *stay* on; no need to change the pad while mopping my ungodly dirty kitchen floor (about 12' × 20' room). Dirty as in, probably not mopped for six months, while two people used the kitchen and went out the back door to take out trash & deal with containerized succelents (i.e. gardening lite). My one concern was that the unpowered spray trigger would wear out my poor weak hand. Not so. It's got a long lever arm & it's perfectly comfortable. All the other great features also work smoothly. I bought one 7 years ago and just bought a new one due to wear and tear, even though the old one still works. The new one has thicker cushions for maximum absorbency. It works perfectly on wood floors and tile. I simply use a combination of warm water and Pine-Sol for both floor types. One month of ownership, no issues so far. Selecting a spray mop for my new luxury vinyl plank and vinyl tile flooring was not easy. Every spray mop I considered either broke or leaked according to other reviews. After much research, I chose this Rubbermaid Reveal. So far all has gone well. Many complain about the handle being flimsy but, I find it sufficient for the task. It would have to be pressed extremely hard to break it in my opinion. Some have complained that the sprayer clogs up. Do they run water through the sprayer after use to clear any cleaning residue? So far, I have not had either of those issues. What I did learn is that the mop cleans much better with your cleaner if you wet the mop pad and wring it out well. I had been barely dampening the pad because I was scared that I would make the mop pad too wet for the vinyl flooring. One month in and the Rubbermaid Reveal has not disappointed me. ... show more

This is my third one of these, which may not sound like a really good review, but it gets used really hard and that’s over 20 years and I’ve only had to replace it three times. I did go with a cheaper one and it didn’t take it any time to clog up and quit spraying so now I have a whole bunch of pads and two extra bottles. There’s a sidenote on the first one after about two years the handle broke off and rubber made replaced it for me free of charge. Listen I haven’t bought any other mop cuz I clean houses for a living and all other mops just have issues so I just always have used my hands and knees but I used this mop at a clients home and had to have it. No batteries needed!!! Very easily turns and maneuvers. The mop pads are firmly attached with Velcro yet remove easily for washing. And they are thick. Love the easy changing of the pads and refilling the water. Just don't apply too much pressure on the handle to scrub the floor. It will break. The pads wash up nicely.
