I have a 2010 Cobalt Coupe LS, 2.2L Engine. Out of the box, everything fit as it should. I did have to cut down the hose to size but otherwise, it was super easy. Took me longer to remove the factory intake than it did to install this one. No complaints here.

Saturn Ion 2006 with the Ecotec 2.2. Needed a replacement airbox for the car since the spring latches where broken. So, this seemed like a cheap alternative, and it is. First issue was the screws for the MAF sensor, they are WAY too short! Lucky enough I have a ton of small metric bolts and machine screws for my RC hobby addiction. Second issue is rubber type/make that is used. It on the hard side and was malformed in the packaging. Had to use hot water to soften. The intake pipe wants to slide out, even when clamped as tight as possible. Still not 100% if I can resolve that issue yet. Third issue is the supplied support bracket/ pieces. I had to hodge podge a set-up to support the weight of the filter and tube. Just drilled a 3/8 hole in the upper radiator support. Bent and lined up underneath, then heavy zip tied it! (it's not stupid if it works, right?) Didn't effect running or anything that I can notice. Didn't buy it for "Performance" reasons and I really don't care cause it's a daily work car. ... show more

Don't buy this. I was happy to see show up but was discouraged that the mass air flow sensor would not fit and the screw holes did not line up. I made an attempt to make it work with absolutely no success. DO NOT waste your money or time with this product. Not worth the money. I've managed to make crap work being in the automotive business as an ASE master technician for 35 years and this is just crap. Spend the money on a better product but this isn't it. ... show more

I have this installed and a 2.2 eco-tech 2010 Chevrolet cobalt. Honestly it fit pretty much right on there. I had to do some twisting of the black rubber hose part. I got an extra rubber hose endwhich wouldn't fit and I don't need either way. Honestly this was almost instant once installed that I noticed the sound is orgasmic and Throttle response was better. I didn't remove the silencer only because usually these filters run hotter than A Cold Air intake being a Short Ram Intake. I did have to cut some of the rubber hosing that came with it so that it would fit so be wary of that depending on your model. Since mine has Air Injectoon right there by the throttlebody I was glad it fit-to install. I am using the stock maf sensor and it comes with clamps and rubber tubing along with the filter. I honestly thought it wouldn't fit since I have the 2.2 model unless specified for 2.4 but just fit perfectly which I was pretty happy about and for a bargain of 60 bucks you really can't beat that too much. The heat shield does not come with the product but for 19 bucks you could have the heat shield as well. I honestly would buy this if you're the type to just one quick cheap performance without having to spend a Ludacris amount of money. ... show more

This looks like a decent short air ram kit. It installed fairly easy. Three things to keep in mind: first, make sure your MAF is facing the right way. Second, depending on the temperature when you are installing you may need a heatgun or hair dryer to soften the hose and/or rubber on the filter. Last make sure you have a way to support it other than the universal bracket that it ships with as it may not reach and the clamps will probably not be enough on their own.. ... show more

i came into this knowing that it is not going to be the best product but that’s okay because i got it in and it doesn’t feel or look as cheap as i thought. a few downsides are that it doesn’t come with any information on how to set up the brackets so i had to rig something up myself and it also didn’t come with the tubing that i thought it would so i had to go and get some. over all i got it put on and it looks great and i can tell a difference in sound. only time will tell how it holds up ... show more
