For the past several years I've been making my own gun cleaning patches because commercial patches aren't any good anymore and are very expensive. The cotton flannel I bought both locally and online has been has been less than ideal but that's all I could get. This cotton flannel that I just purchased through Amazon is fantastic. It's thick, soft, and very absorbent and you get a tremendous amount of patches for not much money and you can custom cut to any size you want. I purchased this flannel to back a Christmas stocking. The color is not a bright Christmas red. It is more of an orangey type red. It is soft and thin, which was what I needed for this project.
