I did have a problem shifting to the big gear on the crank. I took it to my local bike shop and for less than $20, he had it shifting. The cable had a problem. Also made some minor adjustments that were my error since I never assembled a bike before. I was looking for a bike to do local rail trails that are not paved and not conducive to using a road bike. The bike looked nice and the frame seems to be pretty good. I took the bike to the bike shop to give it a once over. The front wheel is a 29 inch, should be 27.5 inch. When contacting Royce Union. They said my only option was to return the bike and get a new one. Not a very good option after paying $100 for the bike shop to adjust and time. ... show more

Truly an top tier mountain bike. The carbon fiber frame means the bike is light and easy to handle. The hydraulic brakes and Shimano gear package makes this bike a joy to ride. I did take it to a local bike dealer after I assembled it to make sure I did it correctly, which I did except for mounting the seat post backwards. I had high hopes for this bike; however, when it arrived it turned out to NOT be lightweight and was very uncomfortable to ride. I disassembled it and returned it.
