This set is so precious. The colors are lovely and the style is so Royal Albert. I really like it and plan to order another one in a different pattern. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the packaging for shipping. It's a wonder it wasn't broken in a million pieces it was so poorly packed in the shipping box. The actual teapot part of this set holds about two normal-sized teacups worth of tea. The cup is comes with is obviously larger than your typical tea cup size because it holds the teapot in place. It's perfect for a tea party of one. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a sweet and delicate European style tea set. I did already notice a small part of the gold trim missing on the lip of the cup, which is sad since I've only used it 6-8 times or so (and only handwashed it gently)((and I am uber careful with it)) so just expect it chip a bit easier than other sets. This has prevented me from using it as much as I want to, and the price is expensive enough where you can't just replace it willy nilly. ... show more

Pros: this tea-for-one set is fantastic! The workmanship and attention to detail is top-notch, and pot and the cup are shapely and fit comfortably in the hand. They also look gorgeous when stacked and displayed--a perfect combination of aesthetics and function. The teapot holds slightly more than one cupful (~14 oz) when filled to the very brim. I recommend brewing by putting two teaspoons of tea directly into the pot, adding about 12oz of water at the appropriate temperature, and pouring through a tea strainer. You get one delicious (and large!) cup of tea brewed such that the leaves can fully unfurl in the water. The saucer is also big enough to hold a couple of biscuits, too! Cons: the teapot does not include a strainer or an infuser. I recommend purchasing one if you buy this tea set. Also, due to the cup's size, the bone china is rather thick and lacks the light, dainty feel of a typical teacup, though I don't find it overly heavy or unwieldy. Finally, the set must be washed by hand as it is delicate and finished with real gold. All things considered, I highly recommend this tea-for-one set. Got worried because the package didn't come with "fragile" label. Luckily, there was no scratch or cracked upon the opening! The size is perfect just for quick tea for 1 person. The tea spills from the lid area as you pour if you fill the water to the top. Make sure not to fill the water to full capacity. ... show more

So overall, this set is absolutely adorable. Some things to note though: The picture is misleading, there is no greenish tinge to the color at all, it is a true baby blue. Still really cute and I expected this from other reviews but I do wish the product pictures were a little more true to life. The size is actually quite large. The cup and saucer are easily twice the size of a standard teacup. If you're expecting something dainty, this definitely isn't it. This set is BIG. The teapot holds somewhere around two cups and I'm pretty sure the cup does too. I bought this to keep at my desk at work and it's actually taking up a decent amount of real estate.
