  • For A Less Linty Wash_Follow The Directions
Size: 11LBS
I live in a NYC studio apt by myself and 10lbs was a good size, I was able to wash two months worth of laundry in 4hrs. I would suggest going up a minimum of 16lbs if there are two or more people. These portable washers are also great during the quarantine! But please remember, this will not wash comforters or blankets, (keep in mind of your washers WEIGHT capacity and your laundry's weight once soaked in water...for example, my fleece robe is super light but absorbs a TON of water so I can't wash with this machine since wash is 5.6lbs and spin is 4.4lbs) This is a very simple machine to use even though instructions are kind of vague. I’ve noticed a lot of reviewers, YouTube “how to’s” always skip a few steps. So the following is how I wash/spin according to the instructions. I've also noticed doing it this way reduced the amount of lint leftover on your clothes. WASH (This machine drains by gravity so make sure it’s higher than where you’re draining out to. I purchased a printer stand to elevate it. Also I tie a nylon sock at end on the drain hose to catch more lint as to not clog the plumbing) 1. Fill the washer with hot/warm water (via water inlet/hose/bucket/shower head) and a tablespoon or teaspoon for smaller loads of detergent. Load your laundry and lint catchers (these machines are notoriously bad with lint!!!). At this point I turn on the washer and check to see how the washer's agitating. The washer is supposed to be swishing the clothes. If it doesn’t spin/swish you might need to remove some clothes or add more water. Maximum water level is “H”. Water level indicator in the washer “L” low, “M” medium, “H” high. I usually set it to 9mins (clothes) or 12mins (bedsheets/towels) and Standard. The Soft setting is for “delicates” basically the impeller spins less and there’s a longer delay between the spin directions. Please remember, do not overload or overwork the washer! SPIN OUT THE SOAPY WASH WATER 2. This is the step a lot of people skip and they go straight to rinsing. Like any washing machine, clothes are always spun after a detergent wash. The problem with just draining and adding water to rinse is that your clothes are still sopping wet with soapy water and adding more water won’t remove the soap, it’ll just “rinse” the clothes with diluted soap. Okay, so once the wash is completed transfer the clothes into the spinner and spin out the soapy water. I let it spin until water stops coming out of the drain hose, less than a minute. Of course make sure the spinner is balanced and cap is pressed down. Once all clothes are spun, drain the washer. I like to drain after and not before is because I don't want the lint in the water to settle onto the clothes. Once drained, I give the wash tub a quick rinse of any leftover lint. Please remember, do not overload or overwork the spinner! If your laundry is really dirty, repeat steps 1 and 2. Basically like a pre-wash and wash cycle. RINSE 3. As the last of the soapy clothes are spinning, begin filling the wash tub with cold water and fabric softener (just need a teaspoon). Load the spun clothes and start timer. Since you spun out the soapy water, the rinse cycle could be set to 3-6mins. SPIN DRY 4. Once rinse is completed transfer the rinsed clothes into spinner and don’t overload/overwork the spinner. Again I'm not draining the washer yet because I don't want the lint to settle. Spin until there's no water coming out of the drain hose as over spinning could stretch out your clothes, this should be 1-2 minutes MAX. At this point, if you don’t have another load to wash, you can drain the rinse water. If you do have another load you don't need to drain since the rinse water could be used for the next load. In theory, since the water was used to rinse soap out of the clean clothes, the water should still be clean...with just a little soap. You would repeat steps 1-4 until your laundry is done. WASHER/SPINNER CLEAN UP 5. Once all your laundry is finished, rinse out the washer and spinner to get rid of any lint/dirt/soap/ buildup, and remember to clean out the lint trap. Lift machine to make sure water is completely drained (gravity drain) Also make sure the drain hose is drained too... my machine came with a hose over 5ft long!! Then wipe down everything and leave lids open to air dry so your don't get mold and mildew! Happy washing!! ... show more

  • Cleans good

I loved that it cleans the clothes well. Kind of a pain to constantly drain the water sometimes. But i love it. The spinner spins the clothes out nicely too. 9/10.

  • This is a YES do it product
Size: 15LBS
Thanks to another reviewer here who gave very detailed instructions and review, I decided to try it. I have so MUCH gratitude for that reviewer because I am very pleased with my purchase. It's a robust machine and makes me happy each time I use it. Here in SoCal in a small space, I now can easily wash at home, and that spin is fantastic! I never hooked up the water inlet, my plan all along was to use my shower head. I can easily move it from where I keep it in the kitchen, into the bathroom next to the shower for easy use. Honestly, this one is worth it, give it a try and you will be happy with the results! ... show more

i got my washing machine today I was so excited to try it out! I'm a bit disappointed because It takes so long to do just a few items and maybe I'm not patient or what i thought is going to be like using one of these RV washing machines?! . It does wash well but honestly, i think i made a mistake because i may wash small items all the time but i still have to go to the laundry after all for sheets and blankets etc Make sure that is what you want ....Also im struggling to find it's proper set up in a small bathroom, Right now is sitying on the chair in the bathtub ...i don't like it !! ... show more

  • It's decent for saving water and money
Size: 11LBS
I did my research on how to use portable washers, as well as finding which one is the smallest with the best ratings, so I went with this one. It’s hot where I live so most of my clothes are very light; my loads aren’t very heavy or large so I figured this would be a good way to save water and money instead of using a washer/dryer. The two things I noticed is that the bottom white part of the machine was dented and concave; I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that, and the draining tube had a hole in it. Luckily, the concave bottom doesn’t seem to have an effect on the machine’s function and the hole was easily fixed with tape. This is what I do to ensure I don’t waste too much water and make the most out of washing: I did buy lint catchers and laundry balls to maximize the cleanliness. The machine has a little lint catcher in it, but it DEFINITELY does not get most of it, as my lint catchers that I bought collect a decent amount of lint. I provided a picture to show the difference between the lint my lint catchers get compared to what the machine's lint catcher gets. To put the machine to the test on how well it cleans alone without the help of laundry balls, I took a shirt and put all sorts of stuff on it: soy sauce, lipstick, eye shadow, foundation, oil, and deodorant; I've uploaded a picture to show the progress. I washed this single shirt for 30 minutes without other clothes. The machine took out some of the makeup, and took out the sauce, but a lot of the makeup stayed and so did some of the oil; the parts with deodorant still smelled like deodorant. I did one more 15 minute wash with laundry balls, and the results were pretty much the same with or without them, except it did remove the deodorant. To be fair, I used a generous amount of each substance, but now I have an idea of what it can and can’t get out. PROS: -Using the machine is pretty straightforward. There’s really no way to mess this up. -You can wash and spin at the same time, although the machine will definitely get noisy if you do both. The spinner drains if you leave the draining hose down, while the washer will only drain if you turn the dial to “drain”. Thus, letting you use both at the same time if you want. -The spinner is extremely efficient and you can set it to spin for up to 5 minutes, but you only really need to do it for a minute or two. -The noise levels are pretty low, the spinner will shake the machine for a few seconds before spinning quietly. The washer is louder with laundry balls. -This is awesome if you accidentally leak during your period. Washing clothes ASAP with cold water prevents staining and this ensures that you can wash your clothes quickly without using a lot of water just for a pair of underwear and pants. -The divider between the washing and spinning side has a little hole on top to prevent overflowing, so the water just splashed onto the spinning tank. CONS: -I highly recommend buying a lingerie bag for T-shirts or delicate clothing because this will DEFINITELY STRETCH THEM OUT! I learned this the hard way but luckily I don’t care much about the shirts that got stretched. -As I mentioned above, the draining tube came with a hole in it and the the bottom was dented. -The machine needs to be elevated and is annoying to drain because of the U-shaped end of the drain tube. It’s probably to prevent spills, but it makes it a pain to drain. You kinda have to fidget with the tube and slosh the water around to get the water completely out of the tubes. -Definitely pace the loads you do, because the bottom gets really hot and fills the room with a strong plastic smell if you do too many loads in a short time period. Overall, it’s okay. It’s good enough if you live alone and have a job or lifestyle that doesn’t involve getting clothes too dirty, and want a more affordable portable washer. I don’t recommend this if you have a large family because of how hot the machine gets after a few loads, which could be hazardous and it definitely doesn’t get oil/thick substances out by itself. Not to mention it stretches out some things and doesn’t catch all the lint, causing you to spend even MORE money on additional things. You might as well get a more expensive and efficient one at that point. Update: the machine is still going strong after using it a decent amount of time, but even when I put shirts in lingerie bags to keep them from stretching, the machine STILL finds a way to stretch out my shirts. ... show more
