Wash comes out so clean and fresh smelling--no laundry additives needed. Spin-dryer works exceptionally well to extract excess water. Hang to finish drying, or toss in a dryer. There was a learning curve in the beginning, but nothing drastic: In no particular order: 👁 If you are not planning to semi-permanently hook up the washer, then you don't need any new hardware, and you do not need to add any hosing to the machine unless you want to. I prefer to add water using my handheld shower attachment, so I did not use the separate hose included with the new machine. 👁 Only 1 teaspoonful of liquid laundry detergent per load. I used a half capful and ended up having to rinse and rinse and rinse..... 👁 There will be LINT. 👀 There will be lint in the wash water from the drain hose, so cover the end of the hose with some net-type cloth. I used a lingerie washing bag as lint trapper. 👀 There will be lint on your clothes. The machine cleans like a powerhouse but is not very efficient at filtering out loose fibers. Strongly suggest that you do NOT mix lights and darks. If there is lint on the finished load of wash, then running the load in an electric dryer should trap the lint in the dryer filter. It worked for me, and I had LOT of towel lint from washing light towels with 2 pairs of dark leggings. 🤭😬 NOTE: the toss-into-the-washer lint trappers had lousy reviews from just about everyone EXCEPT those people using them in one of these portable washing machines, so I ordered them, will use them, and will edit to add my review here. 👁 The spin-dryer will make an awful racket if you unevenly load your wash into it; otherwise, it is whisper quiet. It is a hit-or-miss situation--either they are evenly placed in the spinner, or the load is not balanced properly. If it starts rattling, just lift the lid, rearrange the load, and close the lid. All in all, this little machine works better than I thought it would. If you have a small space and need a washing machine, this should do the trick. EDIT 9/2020: 6 months after purchasing, I had to contact customer service at one point, and they were very prompt and helpful in resolving the issue I had with the drainage box. I still love this machine and am so glad I bought it. EDIT 7/2021: Still using this little workhorse. The cone-shaped net lint catchers work great. I throw in 2-3 at a time and am astounded how much loose fibers, cat hair, MY hair, and other such crap (like the tissue I left in a jeans pocket).I'm considering giving it away to my sister for her 5th wheel camper and buying a model with a drain pump. This little apartment washing machine has really saved my bacon! I recently broke my ankle for the second time. I am pretty much on my own with no one to help me and my laundry was building up. I could not carry my laundry to a laundromat or down and back up two flights of stairs to my apartment complexes laundry room. I looked at a multitude of these small washing machines and settled on this one after reading all of the reviews. A couple of things I will bring up. One. You definitely want to have an extension cord as the electrical cord on this unit is quite short. Two. I have to fill it with a mop bucket as the intake hose is too small to fit on any of the faucets in the house. Eventually a trip to the hardware store may remedy this. Three. You can't keep this in the bathroom due to the humidity. This is in the instruction manual. I wish they had mentioned this and the write-up on amazon. You'll need to store it somewhere else but I do use it in the bathroom. I have it so that it will drain into the tub. Four. you must set it so that the drain hose is lower than the unit. I set my unit on a bathtub shower chair. Five. Other users have said that the lint trap inside this doesn't work the greatest so you definitely want to get yourself some of those floating lint traps. I did and You'll be surprised at how much they pick up! Five. It's made of cheap plastic so I am babying it. I need it to last a long time. I calculate in about 16 washes this should pay for itself versus what I was spending at the laundromat, (less whatever electricity this uses). I wish I could put the entire load from the washer into the spin bucket. I have to break that up into two or three separate spins. You need to pay attention that everything is properly set into the spin bucket otherwise the unit makes a lot of noise and is off balance. Sometimes you have to pull things out and then put them back in and other times you have to add some other clothes in there just to keep it balanced. Sometimes I'll throw a couple clean washcloths in with it to do this. All in all I am very happy with this thus far. I encourage you to go through and read the other reviews for tips and tricks on using this. Keep in mind you may want to buy the floating lint traps that I mentioned as well as a hanger where you can hang multiple items such as individual socks, washcloths, underwear, brassiere's, Etc. The last item I will say is that I did buy the larger of the two options. I am glad that I did this but it's a lot bigger than what I had anticipated but all in all, I'm still very happy with it. ... show more

    • Intake hose lasted 1 week; unit lasted 3 weeks. 3rd party seller is a joke.

The media could not be loaded. This unit is as advertised yet attachment intake hose is not sturdy enough; seperated at inlet on washer and no replacement part available. Seller handed off replacement to another vendor. Now, in less than 3 weeks, it has failed to keep draining water from either side, suddenly. I am unsure I'll get the replacement hose so I'll request an exchange or refund of my total purchase cost and the cost of adapting parts to continue its use. It is a lot of work to use efficiently and if your desperate to do laundry at home, it is not the unit I would recommend. ☹️ No way. Follow up: I received the WRONG replacement hoses. These are DRAINAGE HOSES. I reported INTAKE HOSE NEEDED REPLACED. In order for me to follow seller's instructions, to cut the power cord at the unit instead of returning it, I would have to hire someone or purchase a tool. This is all out of the question. If language is the barrier, fix it. I spent $30 additional to fit tubing to get water into the machine. Dissatisfied and Disgruntled customer of the 3rd party seller of the ROVSON WASHING MACHINE.
