I bought the Rove R2-4k Pro Dash Cam for replacement of my less functional Lindu cam. Ran into a slight issue when installing the hardware kit seems to have a small defect. But very quickly after I inquired Rove, they sent me a new kit and everything worked as intended. That’s excellent customer service from Rove on top of a top notch dash cam. Everything works seamless with this cam & fast connection from moment I start my car. Loads of info on the leds even directions my car facing Download video to my phone is fast & easy and the video quality is excellent I can feel that Rove really test the crab out of the cam & the software before release. I mean I cannot find any fault. I installed the cam next to my mirror level and its best location. The cam size is small enough that it won’t obstruct road views yet with plenty info & functions. I’m very pleased with the camera. It has an impressive list of features and so is highly customizable. Field of view Is great; picture quality is excellent. The camera feels very solid and is easy to install. I wired mine to go to the cigarette lighter plug and stringing the wire to it was quite easy. The included pry tool helped get the wire where it needed to be. Operating the camera is very straightforward. The instruction manual is complete and clearly written. This is especially important because the camera has so many features, but don't be intimidated by that. This camera is a good buy. It delivers a lot at a good price. Customer support is good also.     • Worked great on RV trip
I bought this as a replacement to my older dash cam. This had much better quality and was easier to use. It worked on a Class A RV windshield even though it was at a bit of an odd angle. However we were able to capture over 45 days on the road. I liked the audio reminder that the camera was not recording(we would pause recordings at rest stops) since I would’ve forgotten to turn it back on record otherwise. The cable length was plentiful and the few times I used WiFi it worked well. I also liked the ability to download clips directly to my phone (using their app). I had no problems with it adhering to the windshield even after putting it in and off multiple times. It always stayed on, even when the outdoor temperatures were well over 100.     • Nice basic dashcam - no need to use your phone.
Here are my positives. Regular micro cards work just fine. I did have to format the card in the camera, but then it worked without complaint. It has a 4 foot cable which is perfect to fit into my power adapter. I do like the suction cup holder so that I can remove the camera easily. While it has a phone app, you don’t need to use it or login to any account. The Menu is easy to change and understand. I changed my resolution to 4K, but then I also have to change my compression to H.265. Note – you can use VLC to watch those videos. Manual – they have a real manual which is color illustrated. Price is just $85.00 Negatives The default resolution is 2K. I changed that to 4K. You can’t use H.264 on the 4K files. You have to use H.265 If you look at online reviews, you will see that the day time license plate resolution is ok, but the night time resolution is terrible. Depending on your driving habits, this may be a deal killer. This is also a one camera dashcam. If you are looking for a two camera setup, this is not it. ... show more

    • I finally found the right dash cam
Prior to this camera, I had 2 others (different brands). They never worked well with the provided app and eventually, they both malfunctioned. I love my new ROVE R2-4K Dash Cam. It was super easy to set up and the quality of the camera and the video and photos is amazing. This Dash Cam works flawlessly with the provided app on my iPhone.
