Never write reviews, but I had to say - this camera has been a very pleasant experience. Quality The video quality is crisp and clear. There is an option to record in H.265 compression mode for better quality and smaller file size. In terms of packaging and materials - the camera came extremely well packaged. Manuals, reference guides and quality materials make up the camera. The addition of the electrostatic film to avoid glue residue on the windshield is a nice touch! I’ve had other brands of dashcams in the past and would have loved to have had that option. Installation Huge kudos to whomever wrote the user manual. It was very detailed, with well written instructions and clear photos. I was able to install the dashcam and the hardwire kit (sold separately) by following the instructions and never felt lost. Finding the right fuses to tap into took longer than the setup of the hardwire kit itself. So that’s high praise for the system and add-ons they offer! Features Great setting options for video recording, g-sensor sensitivity, parking mode options and connectivity (wifi). Downloading videos on the 5g WiFi was FAST! A key feature since the 4k video files do take up space. The downloaded files were easy to pull off the card and straight onto my phone. There’s definitely more to say, but in short - the camera delivered on the quality promised and I think the team behind it went above and beyond with the feature set and documentation, all for a great price. (Also - the note in the manual about getting hit twice and the camera being able to record it both times was a good laugh out loud moment) Thanks Rove! ... show more

The quality of both front and rear cameras are great. Recording/image quality are fantastic. Connectivity is quick and simple, connected via WiFi as well. I recommend downloading the Rove Dash Cam app for ease of access through your Android or iOS device. The app is simple and user friendly. The visibility of the cameras are fantastic as well, clear & wide footage to capture the road(s) in front and more. Installed and routed the wiring myself. Comes with a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching or damaging interior while securing your wiring. Comes with a sd card which is also very nice. A suction cup OR sticky adhesive option for the front camera, the choice is yours. with spare adhesive. Spare stickies for the rear camera, as the rear does not use a suction cup. Make sure you clean the glass or any surface you decide to mount your cameras on with the provided wipes prior to mounting your cameras for a nice strong hold. Quite simple to install to get back on the road with a peace of mind. If you have any issues or concerns double check the installation guide utilizing the provided booklet. Lastly, the rove customer care team are really kind & helpful! So if you do have any questions to be answered about installation or troubleshooting, they will be more than happy to assist. Overall, the performance, footage quality, camera display for both cameras are all 10/10 and is everything you would want for a dual dash cam set up. Highly recommended ! ... show more

    • Decent dash cam
Image quality I would say is decent, but still not on par with the action cameras around the same price point. What works is being able to lock videos and having a slight overlap of one saved video to the next so there is no missing second while it starts a new file. With the hardwire kit installed, a very clean and tidy installation is quite possible. The polarizer makes a huge difference to get rid of windshield glare, but need to set exposure a little brighter to make up for it. Over all I am pleased with the purchase, even if it was a bit more pricey than I had planned to spend to capture the crazy drivers around these parts. A few nitpicks below. Wi-Fi connection sometimes fails, but not often enough to complain about. The screen is bright enough, but can't be seen with polarized sunglasses on. If you have the screen saver on, it takes two button presses to get it to lock video. No way to mirror the video of rear camera. The voice assistance is annoying but at least it can be turned off. If you have parking mode enabled and you plug in USB to transfer videos to PC, it only turns on in parking mode and will power off in a minute, even if USB transfer is selected. All but the polarized glasses concerns could likely be addressed with a firmware update if they care to do so. ... show more

    • Nice value for a front and rear camera dash cam.
I've been using this for about a month and so far so good. I've been purchasing Rexing dash cams for all of my other vehicles but this Rove was a great deal for a front and rear camera dash cam. The Rexing cams have a more sleek and integrated looking mount than Rove but that's not a deal breaker. Installation and setup was easy. I used the Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter to power the camera directly from the auto dimming rear view mirror in my 2024 F150. Simple and easy power supply. The dashcam turns on and off automatically when I start and turn off the truck. This dashcam looks and feels well made. The display is bright and colorful and the image is crisp. Recorded images are clear. I didn't download the app, preferring to just insert the SD card into my laptop. Overall I am pleased with this unit and would purchase another if needed. ... show more

Video quality for both front and rear cameras are spectacular, the instructions are thorough and help troubleshoot any issues, the camera isn’t bulky or distracting while driving, and the features included both on the actual camera(s) / the app are convenient and high tech (plus user friendly). I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone in need of a dash cam they can rely on. Don’t hold me to it, but I might return in a year’s time to comment on its durability. ... show more
