With an all-inclusive kit at our industry leading low price, off-road action has never been more affordable! This kit includes two beefy front lift knuckles which maintain factory driveline angles for improved performance. Also included are a set of front lifted coil springs and rear lift blocks which help achieve an additional 4.5" of lift - enough to clear up to 33" tires! Most notably, this kit includes front and rear N3 Shock Absorbers. Utilizing 10-stage velocity sensitive valving, Rough Country's N3 Shocks are application tuned; designed specifically for use with the GM 1500 setup to ride "more like stock" on the highway while offering superb off-road performance. Featuring a 100% bolt-on installation procedure, this kit is a cinch to install, requiring only minor trimming of the fender shroud for fitment with some larger tires.     I just installed this lift this weekend and so far it's fantastic. It's pretty self explanatory as far as the parts and where they go. I'll just list below the different little things someone should know, that I would've liked to before I installed it but couldn't find any information on it, no big deal bu it would've helped me. 2001 Chevy Silverado 2wd 1500 I did the rear blocks first, they taper, one end is bigger than the other; it's not much but it's enough where the truck will vibrate when you come to a stop if you do it wrong. Put the BIGGER end towards the BACK. The front end is pretty self explanatory so I'll give tips instead of the whole install: -Rent a spring compressor from Pep Boys, it's free, you just pay for it and then return it; doesn't cost a thing. It'll come in handy even though it's a little bit of a pain to get it inside and line it up. -Find a good pry bar before hand to put over your socket wrench to get good leverage and get some gloves. It's tight in that space and almost every bolt was difficult to get off. -Rent/Buy a pickle fork, make sure it's wide enough to fit around the whole grommet on the upper and lower control arm or you will cut the grease pocket, you might anyway and it's just kind of unavoidable. -I would loosen the bottom control arm first. My driver side was such a pain to get off, my dad and I are not small guys and it took us a good hour of prying and hitting to get the spindle off. The passenger side we loosened the lower first and the top slipped out without us even realizing at first lol. -My hub came off with the 3 bolts behind it but I've heard it can get stuck and be difficult. -Everything lines up easily, I could flip the brake line bracket, you'll see what I mean, there are new mounting holes for it on the back side of the new spindle. I just didn't want to break the brake line. Make sure you compress the brake caliper pistons, the part that pushes on the pads, before you reinstall them. I used a C-clamp and a 6" piece of metal and you just simply push them back in as far as they go. I'm no novice to working on vehicles but I had let that part slip my mind since I hadn't changed any brake pads in a while. I adjusted the tie rod ends on mine to make it actually driveable, there are tons of videos to help align them but I eye balled it since my alignment shop is so close. You simply loosen the nut and adjust them in or out depending on what you need the tires to do. So far this is a great kit and myself and my dad thought it rode better than stock. It took me most the weekend but I took my time and did a little maintenance while I was down there. I'll be adding some pictures here pretty soon. ... show more

    My buddy and i put this lift on.. we bought new upper n lower control arms since the ball joints were shot.. we went from 16” to 17” rims so we didnt have to get E rated 33” tires.. i ended up getting 255/75/17 (skinnies) and like the look.. i had a detroit trutrac 4.10 put in the rear and the speedometer would of been spot on with 33’s. Its a bit under with the 32’s im running.. only thing i dont like is the majority of the rake from front to back is gone.. i might possibly get different springs up front.. but overall i like the kit.. ... show more

    This lift kit is great. I recommend this product to anyone who wants there 2 wheel drive to have a better appearance. Some things to know though. 1. This kit is not just a walk in the park to install. I had a retired mechanic walk me through most of everything, and you will have to be prepared for ball joints that won’t come undone no matter how big of a hammer or fork you have. If you don’t know what your doing, that spring is no joke. Be careful when you are putting that part back together. We did not have any problems, but we took every precaution possible for that part. Don’t be afraid to tie the spring to upper control arm. Better safe than sorry. Overall, the install took roughly 12 hours for us over a 2 day span. 2. When you go to get an Alignment afterwards, you will not be able to fully align the vehicle. You max out their adjustment with the extra height in the springs, but mine drives like it always has. It stays straight (no bad wear on tires too) and slightly goes to the right after awhile. Overall, it’s an old truck and honestly, it drives better than it ever has for me with new suspension parts. 3. The back part of the truck was the easiest, but it could have been easier. My axle was pointed forward a little. Therefore, the blocks were half an inch from the point. An easy fix is to use a come-along. Chaining the axle to the frame then crank it back however much is needed. The lift is great! I would recommend it to anyone. Also, the 3inch lift rough country lift is not much different because it doesn’t involve the springs and it would be easier!     Installed myself with no power tools, easy to install only issue I ran into was caliper no sitting right with new spindle. Found it was hitting the dust shield and had to trim the edge of it accordingly. Other than that all went smooth, coil springs style lift does stiffen the front ends suspension ride. Though I prefer it being a little more firm so I don't get body roll with the new ride height. Definitely like where the truck sits now. ... show more

    Disappointed with product. Had a customer with a stock 2003 sierra extended cab 2wd that wanted his truck level with a little lift to fit a bigger tier on his stock wheels and after calling tech support to find out if this product would accomplish this they said yes it will level the front with the back and you can fit 285/75/16 so i ordered it. After installing it i was disappointed because this product did not leave the truck level there was almost a 3" difference and the tires would rub when turning and those where not M/T. ... show more
