  • Be cautious on ordering the correct size if you’re a big guy.
Color: Black Size: 7X-Large
I ordered a 7xl and wear a 5 xl t-shirt and when zipped up the coat is really tight around the mid section just wearing a t-shirt, the coat is light weight which I really like but I’m going to have to loss 20 or 30 pounds before really testing the coat out with a undershirt or sweatshirt.

  • Hard to beat for the price
Color: Black Size: Medium
i bought this soft shell jacket last summer when i thought i could get a deal on winter clothing. now in February the price is about the same as i paid, so i guess that wasnt so much the case. anyway, overall i am quite satisfied with my purchase as it is very functional and seems moderately durable so far, again, especially when you consider something similar from a name brand would cost twice as much. i have no illusions that it might withstand an expedition into the hindu kush and back, but for my occasional rough use it is more than sufficient. i live where the winters are fairly mild, and with a t-shirt this keeps me comfortable down into the 50s. i did some traveling into colder climates, and found when i threw on a light fleece underneath i was comfortable down to the 40s, and when i cinched up all the zippers and the hood (along with some gloves and a wool knit cap) it made it tolerable down to below freezing, especially when i was walking or otherwise active and moving my muscles (but i wouldnt want to stand still for too long). with a base layer in addition to a fleece, and heavier pants than the jeans i was wearing, i imagine i would have been comfortable in still air well down into the 20s. it blocks the wind fairly well, tho you will still feel strong gusts wisp thru if you are up against those. It will also keep you dry form snow and it repels mist, drizzle and does a decent job with light rain too. I have not worn the shell into moderate rain, but i feel that it would keep you dry as long as you stayed in it only briefly. heavy rain i feel would outclass this shell and you would get wet pretty quickly. so, you get pretty good performance, and its not too heavy either (tho heavier than it would be with all those zippers and pockets hanging off it) and packs up pretty compactly too. tons of pockets add a little weight but your storage potential is enormous if you need it. but its not perfect, it should really be 4.5 stars but my gripes are minor. first of all, there are cords EVERYWHERE. they might be functional i suppose, except i have no need for them and they always got in the way when i tried to close zippers. i have managed to tuck them away so they are not much of a factor, but it was a mild annoyance initially. also, the shell has a baggy fit. the fashion design philosophy is definitely function over form. i am not a metro, but i am a slim guy and was hoping for a more trim fit. i was disappointed here, but by cinching up the waist i was able to slightly simulate the fitted look i prefer. and id much rather have a jacket that works well, as this one does, than just looks good (which is subjective anyway). if you like the "tacticool" look, and/or if you're a bigger or more muscular type, then you will probably really like this soft shell. reviews mentioning how the hood doesnt roll up into its pocket are half true. its not too hard to squeeze it into its compartment if you roll it up intelligently, but it is a little awkward to do so as well as to wear it that way. if you dont plan on using it you can just unzip it all together and remove it until you plan on needing it, but since i like the hood i just keep it out and found this as a non-factor. the hood itself was at first kind of awkward fitting, but i eventually figured out how to cinch it up using one of those zillions of cords to make it fit my head correctly and now all is good. BOTTOM LINE: solid, functional soft shell, and a GREAT value in my opinion. i use it as a casual jacket and it has served me well in outdoors activities where its highly customizable nature makes it adaptable to varying conditions and temperatures (requiring layers) in the 30-60 degree range. its 400 secure pockets are also useful in this regard for holding various items and it seems to be resisting wear and tear better than one might expect for its price point. if you're in the market for a functional soft shell jacket and dont want to pay an arm and a leg for a name brand i highly recommend this guy. BONUS: and its easy to clean. i wore it into a smokey bar once. to get the smell out i just turned it inside out and threw it in with my colored laundry and voila, just like new ... show more

  • The wrist straps material should change.
Color: Olive Drab Size: Large
Had this jacket for the past 4 years now its comfortable and keeps me nice and warm.the most we get in my country though is cold fronts from The US so it's not snowy cold per say but I used this jacket at work whenever I have been asked to tend to the freezer dealing with frozen orders. Our freezer is mighty cold but with this one I didn't feel cold at only only my hands which were exposed when I worked inside the freezer with no gloves suffered. My main and only dislike is the wrist straps they're garbage I used my jacket this week and the both snapped off like twigs this whole time I thought it was a type of soft rubber but no its more on a firmer plastic side and both straps broke thus leaving me with loose cuffs. It would of been better just to have the straps made of some type of cloth or something definitely not the material used for the wrist straps right now. Other than the wrist straps I have no other complaints best jacket I have ever owned to date. I will soon be joining a law enforcement Agency soon depending on which one takes me first I will buy another jacket to match their uniforms color. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for... but in a good way.
Color: Black Size: X-Large
This is a great jacket. Do not cheap out and grab the other brands. This is the Yeti and the others are Ozark Trail. This is operator all the way! Material is nice and heavy for what you think it will be looking at pics online. It's not Goretex heavy but you can tell it's not a cheap Walmart windbreaker. I got black only because I already have green jackets issued from the Military. My only real complaint is the hood when zipped into the collar. I have a USAF issued Goretex jacket and the hood isn't as uncomfortable stored in the neck as this. I removed it and put it in the hind quarters pocket then just gave up and put it in my car. I used my Glock 17 mags and my Glock 17 for size reference. pics aren't loading so I may add them later on. The 2 front pockets are a bit high so you have to unlearn waist high hand warmers. if you wish to do this you will have to "Chicken Wing" it. Just be aware this pocket and the Hind Quarters pockets both allow fresh air to come in when they are unzipped. the Hind quarters shoot s the air to the small of your back and these front pockets sends the air down the back of the inside pockets to your crotch. they have 2 pockets each that can hold a pen and a knife mine hold the G17 mag snug. If you wish to conceal in these pockets the G17 may be a bit much if left open. If it were me I would have the gun on clip draw and have the Mig style trigger guard attached to the d ring found in both of these pockets "In theory". If you sized this jacket just right for normal use, you will print like crazy when you zip the main zipper close. I guess you just have to remember most folks don't go around looking for a gun silhouette besides other concealed carry folks. Both sides have headphone jack opening. Both upper Velcro arm pockets are Glock 17 size but the gun will not go in there. you will have to cut the zipper defeating the purpose of even having a zipper. Bot these pockets have headphone jack openings as well. Single wrist pocket is G17 mag size but same as shoulder, the zipper wont let it in. sleeves are long so after you close the Velcro tight you have some slack this slack makes 1 handed closure interesting. My workaround was middle finger at the base of the zipper and use index & thumb to pull up. May take a few tries to get it right. There is no headphone jack opening here. Inside pockets are 2 and a half G17 mags but 2 are about as far as you push it. These pockets do not have headphone jack openings. Hind quarter pocket is spacious, and vented. I put my hood in there at one point but abandoned it as it was uncomfortable there too. I put my patrol cap, neck gaiter, and gloves there instead. Remember up top I said this pocket is vented so if you leave this unzipped as well as the top chest pockets air will get in. 2/22/2018 update Washed it 2 times and it's still the same size. i wish I ordered 2X but whatever. Still works well but layer up. if it's 38*F outside and you have a T-Shirt on this will not only fail to black the cold but the zippers in the arms will be cold on you. Just a simple sweater or layering up goes wonders. ... show more
