I really liked this cutter until the blade went dull. I couldn't locate replacement blades anywhere. I started reading the questions and the seller says they are planning on getting them. Moonsmile rotary paper trimmer. I choose this rotary paper trimmer because of the rotary blade being completely encased in a plastic housing. I had cut my fingers a few time with my old cutter when I had to change the rotary blade. Pros: Love the encased blade and it was really easy to install. This is a very great design. But because the blade is fully encased it makes it harder to cut with. I have RA and it is just too hard for me to use because of this. This is the perfect cutter for a classroom or a family to use with kids. It is very safe with the encased blade. A full size sheet of paper will fit on the bed of the cutter without hanging off. It also comes with an extra cutting strip mat, but does not have anywhere to store the extra cutting strip. It has a handle, which makes it easy to carry and also to hang on the wall. It has a year warranty. Those are all great pluses. Cons: You can not purchase extra replacement blades yet. It does come with 3 different blades, but I have no need for a perforated cut or a wavy cut the only blade that I need is a straight cut. Not sure how long it will take to be able to buy replacement blades. Not sure why anyone would put a new paper cutter for sale without having replacement blades available for purchase. It is a wonderful design, the best I have seen. Except the blade flips out instead of in, which makes it hard to cut with. It is made in China. I looked all over for any information on the Moonsmile company, before I made my purchase, and I was unable to find anything on this company. The box says that it is part of the Astra Nova International Company, which means not only is it made in China, but it its own by a Chinese company located in Shanghai, China. ... show more

The action of inserting a cartridge, flipping a bar up, inserting the paper, putting the bar down, and pushing the button down while moving across the paper is very satisfying. The mat is nicely non slip and has all the measurements you could want. The pads on the bottom of the whole thing also do a good job. Everything except the bar is plastic so it doesn't feel indestructible, but at least it makes it light. Though the product page says it goes up to 5 pages, it kind of struggles and 4 is safer bet. The other two blade options produce very clean results and the perforations can be used to fold or tear apart. All in all I'm quite happy with the purchase and it exceeded my expectations. ... show more

I have wanted a paper cutter for so long so I finally got one and I love it! Comes with 3 blades and an extra "cutting mat" where the blade slides along. I did have to read the user manual to figure it out, but it works really well. So far I have just done regular paper and carstock, but I'm sure this would work for all kinds of things. I like that the guard rail comes down over the paper to help hold it in place. Really excited to have this. If you craft, you'll know what I mean. ... show more

    • Missing piece….!
Worked fine but had 2 perforator blades and no straight cut. Being returned and hopefully the new one will have the 3 correct blades. Will review again when 2nd unit arrives.

    • Perforated Tardy Slip
I do a lot of crafts but I bought this so I can make perforated tardy slips for the high school I work for. I print out up to 500 slips on colored paper and perforate them so I don’t have to cut them.

    • Difficult To Put In Paper
The trimmer cuts nicely but in order to put paper in one must lift the cutting slide. It's difficult to lift unless you have strong hands. If you have any arthritis it's even more difficult.
