Description

Eye to eye tails are used to create what tree climbing instructors call a "closed system", resulting in a finished friction hitch with both ends attached to the connector instead of one hanging loose, as with the traditional hitch or single-eye split tail. The eye-to-eye tail also allows use of several hitches that are easily learned and extremely smooth performing. By utilizing both ends of this type of split tail, friction is more evenly distributed, resulting in more consistent friction through a knot that is less binding, yet grabs quite firmly. The system is enhanced significantly when incorporating a Micro pulley that fair-leads the hitch for one handed slack tending.

  • Buy this one!
Great product! I bought some 3 other brands of eye to eye prusik on Amazon. They failed since they didn't have the handling I wanted. This one will be very rapid on gripping my lifeline. The other ones I had to tend to to make sure it will grip before i let go too many time to make it a total frustration and fatiguing--i mean literally since holding my body weight one hand and the other to fix it. This one have not failed to make me tend to it for about 3 weeks of use. Hopefully you read this and buy this more pricey one rather then failing like me and have to autodemot my other prusik for other NON PPE uses. The handling,'flexibly', is great, it can do a 180 bend on it on weight and stay apart about 1 rope diameter! So far the other Chinese bands gaps around 3-8 rope diameter. These guy understand what handling means for prusik. I mean it this way, I rather the rope be rated 25kn drop me and never drop me more then an inch and I dont want a 2500kn rating and have bad handling which cause me to constantly tend the knot and if I forget may drop me more the 10feet.... it happened to me the drop I mean not the 2500kn rope. This is a rant on the other non traditional products. Remember to go low and slow with new products especially the ones that are not known to the field. ... show more

  • Grips Well, Smooth Operation
I love this prusik cord. It's in my top 3 and works so well with an xt and the tachyom, but grips on my poison ivy and vortex well too. I tried it on my blaze but it was too thich to work well :)
