For the price is a really good CNC laser, before I built the exact same laser but i had another brand name and was more expensive, this product surpassed my expectations with the quality and performance, I made some tests with the card board, wood sheet , and aluminum sheet that comes with the machine, it cut really well a wood of 8mm of thickness and can eliminate the paint I put on a copper board for making printed circuit boards. I guess it had one con and is , not all the parts are named like it show in the instructions, so you have to be a little bit intuitive arming the machine. ... show more

The x axis uses a single rail design and a loop belt drive. The x movement is jerky, not smooth and loses time alot. I have loosened belt thinking it was too tight, that didn't help. Maybe it needs used more like it needs breaking in. I would choose a different unit if this is your first or if you are mechanical inclined and under CNC type machines. ... show more

Worked great until it didnt...laser diode failed in the middle of test print. Only used it three times at recommended setting with 70% power Update: seller sent replacement unit and now it works great!! Thank you!

    • different drivers needed
thought the units were bad, i have 2 each 10 watt engravers and a small 3.5 watt engraver. ebrl and lightburn would not detect the engravers , but found out through the internet that roomark units use a different driver than ch340 the driver is for the esp32 chip in the units . now the engravers work perfectly, but i have to run the programs on a computer with windows 11 installed, i was using one with windows 7 ... show more
