I am happy with my purchase. It was difficult to find a curtain rod that had a projection from the wall of over 5 inches. This is the second curtain rod I purchased for this project. The first I received was light and flimsy so I returned it and kept looking for something more substantial. I came across this one with good reviews. It is a lot heavier and feels much sturdier. The steel brackets are not thin. We followed other reviewers' recommendations and used our own wall anchors that we've used in the past. For some reason, they gave us a lot of trouble. Not the item's fault but now I wish we would've used the anchors it came with and just tried to see if they'd work. The rod is secured on the top with screws so, luckily we had a ratcheting screwdriver, otherwise screwing them in so close to the ceiling would have been challenging but, again, not necessarily the fault of the item. The instructions were very straightforward and easy to follow. We have only had this installed for a few days, but overall I am happy with the quality. I ordered four sets of these curtain rods. While they are sturdy and exactly what I was looking for, they do not lay flat against the wall due to the curves of the rod are bent in too much. Luckily, my husband is strong and with much effort he was able to bend them into the correct curvature.

I’ve finally got what I was looking for. The curtain rod is steady. Easy to install. When curtain on it’s cover sides, so no light coming through. Very nice looking and it feels like will work forever))) Also fast delivery. I took the smallest size for my 36in window and it works great.

These were not so hard to put up, but they seem impossible to take down. During installation the rod was difficult to connect to the mount. It is a sleeve type system. I gave them a few firm taps with the heel of my hand and they did go on, but then I noticed that the weight of the rods (double) was causing strain to the mount; it seems as though it may pull from the wall, even though I used the provided anchors. And this is without curtains on. Now I cannot for the life of me get the rod off of the mount. The leverage of the rods may be the issue, but lifting the rods to ensure that I'm approaching the task straight on does not help. Without being able to remove the rod I am also unable to unscrew the mounts from the wall. I am definitely returning, and not yet sure how I'll get them off the wall. I have wasted a lot of time on these and now will have to repair the walls once I get them off. I have hung a lot of rods in my life and have never had so much trouble. The middle support was not included. ... show more

Our handyman installed this curtain rod. Easy to install, and sturdy. I like how much space there is between the two rods. I’ll be ordering this for a couple more windows. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is worth it.
