This was purchased for my daughter prior to her going away to college. Her first year, she had her bed lofted in her dorm room. She attached this shelf to one end of her bed. She could put her glasses and cell phone on it at night. If she wanted to, she could put a cup of water in the cup holder as well. This year, although her bed is not lofted, she attached it to the end of her bed again. She puts her glasses and phone on it at night. Product was the right price but, not the right fit. Our bed sit to high and I was unable to reach it. It was as easy to put on as directed either. I gifted to a friend and they absolutely love it.

Works well for my 9 year old who recently switched to a loft bed. She can still have water at her bedside along with tissues and the remote. Definitely would have had complaints from her if I hadn't thought to buy this when we ordered the bed

We bought this tray for our 4 year old to have on his new bunk bed. He is a huge fan and loves to have a place to set his cup at night. I probably didn’t read the description closely, but definitely a cheap plastic shelf. Though, I will say it is nice that it has the ability to fold when not in use.
