Saw this type of sharpener on he ole' Tick Tok and looked into them. The TT brand was over $100 and I didn't think that was worth it, so I looked into different brands. Found this brand and I was comfortable with the price point so gave it a go. I had a cheap knife sharpener for my kitchen knives and I think it was doing more harm than good to the knives, I could spend 15-20 min sharpening one knife and it was only marginally sharp. The media could not be loaded. I was a little hesitant to buy this one because I was seeing so much advertising for a different brand on social media. My thought was “how could they be offering this at such a lower price”, it must be an inferior product. Boy was I wrong! I’m honestly not sure how it could be much better than this no matter how much more you pay. Shipping was quick and the instructions were easy to follow. I keep this sharpener close by in my kitchen and get into the habit of running it over my blades whenever they seem to be getting the slightest bit dull. This product is simple to use and it does exactly what they say it does but the great part is it’s less then half the cost of the social media advertised ones. UPDATE - seller contacted me and provided great service. Adding an additional star from this interaction. My package arrived as an open box. The stickers were clearly opened previously. I sharpened a whole knife set that needed it badly. The 15 degree angle didn’t do the trick so I switched to the 20 degree angle. That was better but after a lot of sharpening and honing, my knives only became moderately sharper. Still tough to cut a tomato in some cases.     • Magnets don’t hold knives correctly

Magnets don’t seem like they are well placed. Any this or small knife slides down and the roller just hits the guide block. The larger knife wobble too much near the tip and don’t get sharp enough either. Seems like a rectangular magnet that covers the entire end of the guide would solve the issues vs the two little magnets in the middle they have. Don’t recommend this one. ... show more
