Solid as a rock. The rubber feet are perfect for a waxed wood floor. the bed doesn't slide , but it also not so sticky that is easily moved if you need to slide it. No marks on the floor either after sliding. Built like a tank..and doesn't make any noise. I was going to lay down a layer of plywood in between the memory foam mattress and the frame but that was a mistake--the plywood slides around! The frame is built for memory foam mattresses. No sharp corners to stub toes on. 4 plastic mattress guides snapped snugly onto the frame to keep the mattress firmly aligned on the frame. Not that it would slide much anyway. Assembly was a bit grinding. Difficult to get everything out of the box without a helper. Very well packed with dozens of foam pad inserts to make sure nothing is scratched during shipping. Once out, everything sorted out nicely according to lettered labeling. Directions are fairly simple.. to the point where everything is shown by simple diagrams with 4 or 5 steps. An allen wrench and a small steel wrench are provided. You may need a rubber/ wood mallet or 2xx4 block with a regular hammer to tap things into place at one step, so allen bolts can thread. It was tedious turning at least 14 allen screws with the provided allen L wrench, but no big deal. All and all though, rock solid product. Whoeever made and designed this thing was definitely on the ball! If you're looking for a good solid mattress frame without a box spring, that is rock solid and quiet, this thing is what you need! ... show more

This was delivered on time as promised. The packing box was in good shape and undamaged. The assembly instructions were good and made the item easy to assemble. The bed frame is a nice height at 14 inches and I will be able to use the under bed area for storage if needed. The bed frame is very sturdy: we wanted something that will accommodate a visiting teen flopping around on it! I doubt this frame will ever sag. I don’t usually write reviews, but I was so hesitant to buy this online and then was so impressed that I wanted to write one. We got my daughter a new mattress that did not need a box spring. This was the first time purchasing a frame like this without the need for a box spring. I was nervous it would be cheaply made, noisy and uncomfortable. I’m happy to say I was wrong! The packaging was great and it was easy to put together. The frame is sturdy and quiet and I love the extra space it gives you underneath. My metal platform had seen better days and it was time for an upgrade. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the material. It's very durable and not cheap. The instructions are easy to follow and I quickly found out why you dont want to tighten the screws til the end like it says. I got distracted and ended up putting a side rail upside down. Thankfully because of the design, it was very easy to correct. Although I had tools I like the fact they provide a few small wrenches to tighten everything up. I looked for a bed that wouldn’t creak, and so far so good. My son jumps on the bed and I get worried it won’t remain silent for long but it seems to be holding up pretty well. I got the queen, and put a foam mattress on it and it seems fine. As for assembly, I did it by myself, you’ll need a screw driver, I have one with interchangeable heads. this bed frame is great, took me about an hour to put it together, taking my time. i was impressed from the beginning as I unboxed it, everything was so very secure and packed tight. As I reviewed the instructions ahead of time, it seemed easy enough. as I was assembling it I kept noticing that it was virtually impossible to put together the wrong way, each part designed so it could be screwed together only one way. I'm sure some parts could be installed upside down, but the assembler would notice that easy enough. really great industrial design talent there. looking forward to many good nights of sleep. i purchased this one after more than a month of searching on amazon. i've got a natural foam latex bed, and most of these steel beds just didn't have the supports close enough together. between the ergonomics of the rounded edges at the corners so you don't stub your toe walking around the bed, and the spacing of just over 4 inches between the slats, I decided this was the bed for me.
