  • Worth the price?... YES!!
Being a person who has only had motherboards that cost $200 or less this was a big change for me and can notice the differences. First thing to know is that this motherboard is made for overclocking your CPU and maximizing it's performance. This is why the price is high. With that said you pay for what you get, a really sturdy motherboard with many features. It's built to last you years! I was surprised to how nicely weighted it was as it contains HUGE heatsinks for the VRMs. Pros (features): Four M.2 options (make sure to read manual about bandwidth sharing). Memtest86 installed in the motherboard bios!!! Flex key & Start button on motherboard (you can test your components before putting them in your case!) Q-Code reader A massive amount of USB 3.2 Gen 2, and Thunderbolt 4 (x2)! Bios Flashback and Clear CMOS keys (CMOS battery under M.2 cover) Subtle RGB, that looks amazing. Ready for PCIE 4.0 (11th gen intel only) 3 ARGB headers Separate AIO and Water Pump headers CONS: Price while getting what you paid for is true it really is high. M.2_1 is disabled for 10th Gen Intel M.2_2 doesn't have a screw to hold down the ssd when installed before putting in the heatsink from what I can tell. I believe it's held down with the heatsink once you screw it in. However, this is a bit hard since the M.2 isn't being held down to start off lol. The pads on the heat sinks for the M.2's can come off easily so you have to be careful when taking the protective film and installing them. All that said this was a big upgrade for me and I'm happy with my purchase. This motherboard is made with quality in mind for overclocking. If you are not going to overclock you could do with cheaper motherboards. ... show more

  • Love this......
Love this board, it has worked out amazing, no hiccups at all, no problems, the second I booted it up it just worked like a charm and was dead silent. Prob the least problematic builds I ha e ever encountered, I'm 39 years old been building since I was 15 ..... This one was the best of all time. I wish I would have gotten access to the rocket lake i9 , but it sold out so quickly, rediculous, in about 10 min starting at midnight I think. Was about to send the board back and say I'm over it....then did some research and found the 11th gen i7 was also 8 core 16 thread and can be pushed to perform very close to the i9 for 240 bucks cheaper. I went for the i7 and ohhhhh boy this thing screams fast, glad I did. I will list the other parts I ordered for my build and exact links if possible, but I went with the "be quiet 1000 watt platinum powersupply" and it's dead silent, LOVE it.... Went with the cooler master H500 ARGB Airflow ModTower case...also amazing and easy build, let me hide all the wires with wash and looks killer with the glass panel, the Corsair H100i RBG Platinum SE AIO cooler ( btw this was the easiest and the coolest cooler I have ever installed, just unbelievable ) m2 drives wester digital black..some are pci express 4.0 to sync with the z590 chipset and 12th gen rocket lake, get those, for Ram I only went 4 sticks =64 gigs of Crucial 32GB Ballistix RGB DDR4 3200 MHz UDIMM Gaming Desktop Memory Kit (2 x 16GB, Black) x2 .... With those parts you will love the build. Also make sure you attach all 4 power connectors to the motherboard, if not it won't boot, its the first board that I have build that requires 4 power connectors , makes sense though this board is no joke it's hight capable of pushing serious overclock.....I don't even overclock , I just like knowing I have a board that can hang, means if I don't it will last me much longer, parts, capacitors, heat sinks to keep everything frosty cool, just healthy for your investment I. General overclock we or not.... ... show more

  • Beautiful board
I ordered this from Amazon Warehouse and took a chance on an "acceptable" rated board which denoted scratches and, lacking accessories.. What arrived was near new with all pack-ins and accessories. This is what I would call Asus's "mid tier" upper end board that is a step above their Strix and below line but obviously isn't on the level of their Apex and Extreme boards. Still, it leans more towards the upper end than the lower end and with that you get their excellent AI features, SP chip rating features and extended pack-ins. RGB is beautiful, board is on point and once you've explored and mastered an Asus BIOS it applies across the board to all their products. It just depends on what model you have and expanded functionality. Asus is known as one of the best in terms of BIOS support as these boards cater to enthusiasts. The Z590 chipset supports both 10th and 11th gen chips but it really shines with 11th. If you're looking to run a 10th gen chip specifically, I would recommend sticking with a Z490 board as you will not get any added perks with the Z590 chipset and may actually suffer some quirks and performance issues. Still, a fantastic board. 5/5 ... show more

  • Great Motherboard
I've been a hardcore gamer since the 1980's, back before the games were really good like today! since the 90's I've always built my own gaming rigs and ever since I tried my 1st ASUS MB (ASUS P8P67 PRO motherboard for LGA 1155 Sandy Bridge) in 2011 I've sworn by ASUS ever since. The ROG Maximus XIII Hero is my 4th ASUS MB and the 2nd ROG. I've been using the ROG Maximus XIII Hero for about a year now and it definitely hits the mark. Great features, easy overclocking tools, and so far it has been incredibly reliable. I highly recommend ASUS ROG for all PC gamers! ... show more
