I’m having same problem amp lit up but no sound !! Now I’m waiting for new amp to come cause I figured since the sub is 1 ohm that’s why there is no sound ?? Is this correct??

    • Clips a lot at higher volumes.
I can't figure out why this supposedly 2000 watt rms amp clips when powering 2 Alpine 12 inch subs rated at 600rms each. I have everything wired to 1ohm, and the clipping indicator comes on at 75% amp power. The alpines are old and in a sealed box. They sound great but I kind of wanted to upgrade my subwoofers too, and now I feel like my old speakers might be too good for this amp. ... show more
