Description

The dB15 is a mono amplifier with 6,000 watts peak output and 1500 watts Dyno- Certified power. Here at Rockville we offer the best value in car audio. We therefore want to make it easy for you to compare our products to any brands on the market. The peak rating can be used to compare with brands who use peak ratings such as Boss and Power Acoustik while the Dyno Certified RMS rating can be used to compare with top brands such as Kicker, Rockford, Alpine, etc. One of the tricks to determine the real power of a car amplifier is to multiply the fuse rating by 10 to determine the true RMS power. This formula almost always works within 20 %. The dB15 features a fuse with a rating of 150 Amps. Although we rate these conservatively at 1500 watts Dyno Certified @ 2 ohms, this amplifier puts out more power than this!. This amp has a fully adjustable 12dB/Octave crossover with differential circuitry. Other features include a subsonic filter, a fully adjustable bass equalizer, mute and delay soft start technology, a phase control switch, and a dashboard subwoofer control for added convenience..

  • Very Impressed, great bang (thump) for the buck!
Style: 8000 Watt/2000w RMS
I had originally ordered an Orion XTR 2500.1DZ and it work for about 10 minutes total , I contacted amazon and I sent the amp back and ordered another 2500 and somehow I ended up with a bad returned amp that didn't even work. So I ended up sending it back also and I said heck with Orion and decided to cheap out and ordered the Rockville DB16 for 228.00 ... not bad for a 2000 watt CEA rated amp. I received the amp in new condition and I hooked it up to two 12" AudioPipes TXX-BD4-12 ,2 ohm subs in a sealed box and let me tell ya this amp and subs will jar your guts . The subs are rated at 1100 watts RMS each and the amp does roughly 2400 watts @ dynamic burst which works well with the 80 -90 hair band metal I listen to. The Amps are really big, like 21 inches by about9-10" wide and they look great! If you look at the pics I took you can see I'm gonna have an issue mounting them in a 99 Camaro. The Rockville Logo lights up in blue and the remote bass knob also lights up in blue and it's actually to bright at night and it will blind you and will light up your entire car, I had to put tape over it. I liked the Rockville DB16 so much I bought the Rockville DB45 and I'm curtrently running it on four JBL 6.5" 60 watts RMS coaxials and they sound phenomenal with 200 watts RMS CEA rated power on each speaker @ 2 ohms, it's acutally to much power for them and I have to run the amp gain all the way down and they are still way loud, but clean. I've ordered 4 Kicker KS series Coaxials to replace them that has higher power handling so we will see. if you want to run in competitions the Rockville amp line isn't what you need in my opinion, but if you want to add some power, great sound to your ride and actually enjoy music all at a great price then this amp(s) is for you. Set your gain right and leave the bass EQ (boost) turned off and the amp will serve you well! I ended up getting the DB16, the DB45 and a Rockville R7EQ equalizer all for less than what the Orion 2500.1DZ cost ...so if your on a budget consider what you get for the money. have a great day! ... show more

  • Actually pretty awesome
Style: 2000 Watt/500w RMS
This amp is actually pretty awesome! I was skeptical due to the price and the make because I never heard of the brand. But I am happily surprised. It has plenty of power and pushes 2 12" subs easily!! I highly recommend it for a budget friendly amp! Sturdy and durably built. Its a very good buy.

  • Three years later....
Style: 4000 Watt/1000w RMS
So, I purchased this amp in August 2019. From day one, the amp seemed to have a .4 amp continuous draw. Since we only drove this car once a month, the battery would die between use. I didn't want to mess with removing and returning the amp so I simply purchased a 2 amp battery tender that continuously kept my battery charged. I am running one Rockville W15K6D2 V2 15" 4000w wired in series for a 4 Ohm load. I have the amp gain running at 50%. This amp has plenty of power to push this subwoofer. It sounds great and never overheats...even in the North Carolina summer. The amp is well built for the price. I would have given this a five-star rating if it wasn't for the parasitic draw on the battery. It has been three years and both the amp and subwoofer are going strong. No regrets about buying this amp, but if the car is not driven often, this may be an issue. ... show more

  • Very impressed
Style: 4000 Watt/1000w RMS
The media could not be loaded. I just installed the amp with my Rockville duel 8 inch subwoofer box it is just breaking in but I absolutely love it so far. I highly recommend buying it I used a splitter for my signal because I have a Rockville 8 inch with amp built in under my passenger seat so I split off the signal from the head unit I need longer RCA splitters but it sounds amazing.i have one more sub to install. definitely recommend it thanks Rockville audio and audio savings for everything. ... show more

Style: 6000 Watt/1500w RMS
Bought this to run 2 subwoofers in my trunk and this is what I thought of this product. It was easy to put install and use (I ran it with a 1000W capacitor and 4 gauge wiring). It works as expected for a single coil, and has held up well. While it is not a dual coil (which would be a better option), it is made out of good quality material. It has been used for a couple of months now and is holding up great. We went with this product cause for the most part the reviews we found were decent. However make sure that the subwoofers you are using are in fact single coil or single coil compatible... if not then you need to upgrade to a dual coil amplifier (which I would recommend anyways). As for the brand, I have nothing but good things to say about Rockville, they are a good quality company and are putting out some good quality products! I will continue to use their products. As with any product there are a few things I didn't like, but they are not major issues...All in all a good product worth the money spent! ... show more
