At Rockville we cut out all the middle men and deliver the best professional products at the best prices. This speaker has an incredible 400 watts of peak power and will deliver a massive amount of highs, mids, and Bass. This speaker is super-efficient. The built in USB input and SD input are great options for playing back your music. The Bluetooth integration is very easy to use and is very reliable. You will be able to transmit music form your Bluetooth phone or MP3 player to play back on the speaker. The Bluetooth range is 32 feet. Our new Bluetooth chipset ensures top of the line sound quality so you get distortion free playback. This BPA10 speaker comes to the market as a result of one full year of intensive research and development. Our strategy used to be to re-sell other brands Bluetooth speakers at great price points. However, our customers were simply not happy with how loud they were able to go. As a result we had to stop carrying those other models. Since realizing there was a market, we decided to go out and try to make a better product and keep the price point the same. Like we always do, we went out and bought 5 models of great sounding PA speakers and put our engineers, purchasers, and designers to work to see if we can build something as good as the higher end brands for the price of the cheaper ones. First, I use this instead of a portable Bluetooth speaker in my backyard and NOT as a PA speaker. My yard backs up to a fairly busy road and even though I have a large wall the noise is noticeable when busy. Coupled with the kids and dogs and general goings-on of a busy yard, none of the portable speakers we have tried have been loud enough to contend. This thing is. And then some. In fact I will say in comparison it is comically loud. I typically set the volume around 3-4 and use the volume adjustment of my phone to fine-tune it while streaming. As someone else recommended, I set the bass fairly low and the treble high and the sound quality is really good. I did try adjusting the settings differently a few times and tested max volume max bass etc... but completely overkill. At max volume it would be a nuisance to my entire neighborhood. There are a few downsides but for me they are far outweighed by the positives. 1. Bass performance is not great. Not only does it not lack a great lunch, but even moderate bass is questionable at louder volumes. 2. Bluetooth is inconsistent. I typically keep my phone within a few feet. Some days it works from 50’ away, some days it gets choppy at 10. Never anything major. Occasionally it won’t pair, flip the power off/on and it pairs again in two seconds. 3. Remote was/is garbage. This doesn’t bother me since I don’t rely on it. However if you needed to use the remote I fear you would be disappointed. Many reviews seem to say the same. As far as I am concerned, this serves me extremely well and I am beyond satisfied. For the cost this is hands down the best speaker I’ve ever purchased, what it lacks in portability is more than compensated in function. 5 stars for value. I originally gave it 4 stars because of the bass and remote, but I’m going to change it because for the price I don’t see how you could expect better. I’m no expert in PA systems but I understand that they don’t deliver bass the same way a similar 12” sub would for a car audio system so I don’t consider it a detriment and honestly I think the remote is functional just not fantastic. ... show more

    • Works great in noisy environments

Bought the 15" for work to compete with the machine noise. For that the speaker does an excellent job as it gets plenty loud - way too loud to stand next to it without hearing protection (which is no issue for me as I am required to have earplugs at work anyway). Even with earplugs it is uncomfortably loud right next to it. When keeping the volume just below clipping the sound quality is outstanding without any noticeable distortion. That is with normal ears and considering that this is a PA speaker. Oh my, if there is some coloration to the music, then I am not worried about it. I rather have that then the telltale signs of over driven speakers. The highs are crisp and clear and everything else as well, even 50-60 feet away. Despite the price tag it does not sound like a cheap DJ turned up way up into distortion nightmare. Please note that the speaker does need to be broken in. Right out of the box it does not go very loud. Mine took about halfway through the first week to finally break loose. Afterwards it is noticeably louder and even better sounding, especially on the low end. I didn't do anything special, just used it as normal. Which in my case meant running it just below clipping for hours and hours. Even so, it never complains. Sure, the cooling grills get pretty hot, but that is all. Bluetooth distance too low? Works great on my S8+ even about 45 feet away without cutting out. That is well above advertised spec, and I suppose it depends more on the sending device than the speaker. Very happy with it. I am docking a star for the FM radio antenna. From other reviews I already knew that had to unscrew the back and reroute the antenna outside. What I didn't expect after opening the speaker was the cable for the radio to be plugged in in the wrong spot. No problem as the circuit board has clear writing on it. Instead of drilling a hole I simply put the antenna wire through a screw hole and left that screw out. Everything else is thought out well, it is strange that there is no outside accessible port to plug in an external antenna.
