I bought this as I was so tired if bending over, using a hand tool that I had to pound under the weeds than pull the weeds out of the ground. It was time consuming and back breaking! I looked at just about every weed puller here on Amazon and read all the reviews. I decided to purchase this one for several reasons: 1. Lifetime warranty 2. Metal parts 3. Made in the USA 4. Ease of use The first time I tried this, our ground was really moist so every weed and clump of dirt/mud was sticking to the end of the weed puller. I had to manually pull each one off the end. You can shake them off usually when the ground is dry. This puller does not completely eliminate bending but it sure does help eliminate a lot of it! I found the holding the handle at Abt a 45° angle away from the foot push you get everything up. I highly recommend this! ... show more

Overall a great tool idea. Keeps you from having to bend over to pull the weeds. I used mine to pull lots dandelions. After about an hour the tiny sheet metal screw that holds the claw on the shaft kept coming loose. After attempting to tighten it numerous times with little success, My remedy was to drill out the tiny hole to accept a larger sheet metal screw. Did this on 2 sides and this has seemed to cure the issue so far. The consumer should not have to figure this out on their own. Maybe the manufacturer should take a look at this on their end and make some changes. Maybe through bolting it would also be a good fix. ... show more

I purchased one of these Rocklin stand up weed pullers because it reminded me of something my father used to use when he was pulling weeds to save his back. It works just as good as his did and I'm very happy with the purchase. My daughter wanted to try it on her dandelions because she had a ton of them and she loved it as well so I ended up purchasing another one a couple of days later. Received today and in 10 min had almost a full bin of weeds! And the best part is it was hardly any work. Solid construction but not heavy. Waaaay better than on your hands and knees. I’m 6’1 so a slightly longer handle might be an improvement, maybe an upgrade? I’d pay for it. But not enough to knock a star off. Thinking about buying another one so wife and I can double team the yard! Includes blue ‘loc-tite’ for the handle assembly. Seems pretty durable but remember, it isn’t a pry bar so use your head. I like how it works. I was concerned it would be too heavy and it is not. The box had a notice that said I would get a free pruning tool which was to be in the box and it was not. I tried to find the company but the email they have listed is defunct.

This is a very clever, simple tool that really works to remove weeds from the root, if you use it right. This version of it unfortunately has screw-on handle extension that is very thin at the point where it screws on and it allows the handle to bend, which I think will eventually cause it to break. I've tried a number of weed/dandelion pullers, always with varying levels of success. Each one would work for awhile and then would bend or fail in some other way. The Rocklin weed puller is easy to use and durably made. It uses a clever cantilevered design to easily reach the roots and then extract them.
