Purchased this for my 9 year old to be able to continue her practice while we were out of town for an extended period. I loved that the batteries lasted and are still good even after a week of practice. No need to find an outlet to use the keyboard. The kids love playing with the demo buttons. The keys are smaller than a regular piano, but perfect for 9 year old hands. The one con about the keyboard is the volume. When turned on, it is very loud and needs to be turned down before playing. This is actually quite a nice keyboard. It sounds just fine, at least about what you would expect for the price. I have fairly big hands but I'm not really having any problems with the smaller keys and it's very light and comfortable sitting on my lap. I've seen that a lot of people have had problems with the battery door not fully closing, or not snapping shut and that happened to me when I first installed them, but I found that all I had to do was pull back on the latch and it snapped shut. With the 6 weeks of free lessons and the note stickers it's turning out to be a great keyboard for a beginner whether you're an adult or a child. ... show more

This keyboard is very small and a little cramped on adult hands. It's a great place (and price) to start though if you are like me and have a tendency to start hobbies and then give up after 5 mins. It feels cheap but you get what you pay for. Probably be the perfect Christmas gift for your little one to see if Piano is in their future. ... show more

This was perfect for my 6 year old! I did purchase this because of the app that works with it? However it locks up often, so it’s useless, but overall the keyboard works and sounds great.

    • Worked great briefly - not lasting quality
Got this for my 9 yr old for Xmas 2022- all she wanted was a keyboard!!! My husband and I spent countless hours scouring the internet for an affordable, good quality, LASTING, beginner keyboard. We read through THOUSANDS of reviews before eventually deciding on this particular keyboard. When she opened it up on Xmas morning, she was THE HAPPIEST kid!!! This was the BEST GIFT she’d gotten 🤗 we even got her a little head set about a week later so she could play her heart out whenever she desired without distracting anyone else!!! Her & her little sister learned sooo many songs SOO QUICKLY, without any cheat sheets!?! I even got the little one a small little kid keyboard to be just like her sister!! I figured once we upgraded, we could give this one to her…. Wellll after about 4/5 months of magical music - the keys stopped producing any sound. The speakers worked, the lights turned on, everything was working but no sound came from pushing any of the keys!! I kept it around, hoping to get on here to reach out to customer service… but it just became another eyesore that took up way too much space. Both girls completely lost interest in learning / playing music on a keyboard & I threw it out a few days ago. Too bad it didn’t last but I guess that’s how things are today. ... show more
