  • Great Product
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I installed these during installation of a Kicker CX400.1 amplifier. The Kicker amps (2019+) use the FIT+ technology that accept up to 40VDC input signal so I used these in lieu of an LOC to grab a signal on the head unit in my 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie Power Wagon which has a stock 8.4" uConnect radio with the 9 speaker Alpine system. Others have stated the warning from RF that tells you to not connect your outer shielding (negative terminal wire) to the high output speaker wires. This is true if you are using one of their products so be sure you understand what your manufacturer states is the correct way to wire this up. Luckily Kicker has this figures out and doesn't require anything special. I connected both the positive (solid) and negative (striped) to the rear door speaker wiring. Overall this product is very well made and has full spec 14AWG wires connected to the RCA's. The insulation is of good quality as well. I soldered these in place to ensure that they would not give me problems in the future and the insulation held up well with no obvious discoloration or curling at the end. If you are looking for a KICKER KISL alternate, this is definitely the way to go! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Nice wires, ran into a problem using them as intended though...
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Nice wires, RF makes good stuff, no secret there. Many uses for these as a lot of people have said but I am one of the rare people who used this product for it's intended purpose. That is, to obtain an RCA line out signal from your car audio head unit when it doesn't have RCA outputs. I ran into a weird situation when doing this. If you look at RF's advisory on these wires they tell you to connect the solid color wires to the left and Right positive (+) speaker lines and to ground the striped lines to the chassis (rather than tap them into the neg(-) speaker lines. Simple enough. except for the fact that when I did this my amp wouldn't turn on. It's the kind that turns on automatically, RF brand also, when it receives an incoming signal from the RCA's so no remote wire needed. At first I didn't know what was wrong, I thought maybe my amp was a lemon but after double checking everything and trouble shooting I figured out that the RCA / remote turn on was the problem. Fooling around with the RCA cables for awhile I accidentally hit the center pin on one of the RCA ends to the outside (shield side) of the RCA female (on the amp) and it instantly kicked on. I don't know if the amp is wired backwards inside or what, but according to RF the center pics should be the pos (+) but in order to make my amp work I had to switch that around. Works fine now but kind of has me scratching my head! Anyway the wires are great! ... show more

  • Be sure to look up instructions!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
A few things. Good quality but no directions came with it. Seems simple right? Positive and negative wires who could mess that up? Well, I tapped into my speakers positive+ (solid) negative- (stripe) and plugged AV cables into the amp. Turned everything on and Holly S***! I thought I blew my rear speakers, looked at the directions on Rockfords website and for some odd reason the negative wire is NOT supposed to be connected to the negative speaker wire. Its supposed to be grounded to the vehicle. Once I did this the system worked perfect. Be sure to go to Rockfords website and look at the instruction. ... show more

  • Decent enough for what I needed
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I bought these to wire into a 3.5mm female stereo jack to mount in my dash. It connects to the AUX 2 inputs on my old Nakamichi CD-45z head unit. It works as expected, so I accomplished my goal. However, these are *not* OFC, they're cheap stranded aluminum wire, much heavier than necessary (or even desirable) for line-level signals. Also, if you understand balanced v. unbalanced signal transfer, you'll be disappointed to find these are twisted pairs rather than properly-shielded coaxial RCA audio cables. An early '90s Alpine FM modulator (of all things) has markedly superior cabling--for the antenna connections! ... show more

  • Great Quality, Worked Great!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
While doing a new receiver installation on an MDX I needed to go from RCA outputs on the Alpine iLX-650 to wire connections on the MDX to integrate the Alpine into OEM amps and speakers. One of the RCA's I was provided with the install kit was faulty. I bought the RF12SW as a replacement and the quality was night and day over what I was provided in the install package. Wish rest of the RCA's were of this quality. ... show more

  • Easy to hook up. Great price. Quick shipping.
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
My car stereo did not have the RCA hook up so I was able to buy these RCA adapter wires and hook the one end directly to my car speakers then plug these RCA wires directly to my bass cannon . Worked great and they provide the power to listen to the wonderful music. They are well worth the asking price and are very easy to hook up. You won’t be sorry if you purchase these. ... show more
