I'm not sure why I waited so long to purchase one of these. I have cleaners that come, so it felt silly to have this as well. It's not as though I'm not capable of vacuuming a couple of times a week. That being said, we have birds, very messy, and a dog who is in and out his doggie door all day, thus twigs, grass, leaves, you name it on the floor. We also have all tile in the house but each room has large area rugs so I was concerned of something being able to do well on both. Many reviews I've heard claim they do not do well on mixed surfaces. A friend of mine recommeneded this one and I could not be happier! I'm not a big tech person, no Alexa or Iphone even, and it was still super easy to get started, have it map our my house and figure out how to set the rooms for different schedules. I let us do the entire house each weekend, then every other day during the week, I have it clean the kitchen, living room and front room (bird room). It is just the most amazing feeling walking in after a day at the office to perfectly clean and fresh looking floors.. It makes me smile every time. It's also great about not sucking up the dogs toys. It just tries to push them out of the way or go around, but they don't get caught up in the machine. I will say, I tried the mop and due to our many large area rugs and my lack of desire to map out 'rug' areas, the mop feature didn't seem to work to well for me, but mopping once a week is no big deal for the floors to look clean the rest of the time. The device was able to connect after turning off device cellular data. Otherwise, I expect this robot to be rugged and work better than my S6 which is going strong for 4 years now. Looking forward to wonders this robot will do!

The vac seemed to do a good job. I tried several times and days to get the mopping device installed and never achieved success. I had my daughter try and she couldn't get it to engage either. It was getting close to the return deadline, and I chose to return it. It was also difficult to set "no go Zones". My home is 2304 sq. ft. and it never completed a session with out having to go back to the dock to recharge. I am considering the Roborock Q8 Max as soon as I receive my refund. I have purchased 4 Roborock robotic vac and have been pleased with every one of them . ... show more

I have had this robot vacuum for a couple of months now. I shopped for vacuums during black Friday, and after seeing not-great reviews on a bigger name-brand option, I found Roborock. After some research, I decided to purchase this vacuum as it fit my budget. I LOVE this vacuum. Suction power is much higher than my previous Shark robot vacuum. The mop option was a bonus as I was I didn't necessarily want or need a mop function. However, being able to mop my kitchen floor on demand with little effort from me, is a great feature. The integration with the app is seamless. It only took one trip around my house to map all the rooms and spaces. After mapping, I was easily able to use the app to set up "no-go zones". This was especially nice since the rug in my living room is too high so the vacuum does get stuck on it. I can add furniture within the app too (like a bed or couch). I can also set up different vacuum schedules. For instance, I have it run every morning but that daily schedule does not include my kid's bedroom since there are typically toys and clothes on the floor that may cause issues. When I want to vacuum all rooms (when I know all of the floors are clear), it is a simple tap in the app. The robot is continuously mapping when it runs, as well. So, if your initial mapping included a piece of furniture that gets moved, it will "see" that the next time it runs and clean the floor where the furniture once was.
