    • Absolute best flower bed clearer
I can't express enough about this product to be honest. I needed it for a bed clearing job and I didn't want to go through tilling and such although my tiller broke. Anyways I bought this to clear the bed and I did one application. I didn't get back to the property until around a week and a half and when I came today, that bed looked completely done for. There was some monkey grass in there and those roots are tough even though small, like literally out of the total 500sq ft bed there was like 5-6 little clumps of green showing and those can be pulled and that will be cleared out. So hence I did chase the RM18 with some emergent to keep any weeds and such from coming back. so that bed will not have any problems. I used the RM18 on the other side which I didn't till or anything and it killed everything in site. The monkey grass of course although was 97% dead, some green showed so literally all it needs is one more application and it's all done for whatever my customer needs. I used an old hose end bottle I had from other product I used for treatment... so I use that for spraying, just pour the RM-18 that you need in and you can use that hose end to spray and apparently it puts the exactly right amount you need in the mix and good to go.     • it's bascially 'roundup extended control'
has the same percentage of glyphosate and diquat (18%/.73%) at less than half the cost - $.42 vs $1.03 per ounce. ragan and massey recommends adding 3 oz per gallon of water while roundup recommends 6 oz. at these measurements, this creates a .4% or .8% mix. to get 1% you would need to use 8 oz and 16 oz to get to 2%. i mix at 1% (8 oz/gal) and weeds start to wither in a day or two. i also was able to kill a few small (less than 2' high) palm trees with multiple applications over a few weeks. some tips for application: - it does not matter how much you dilute the product, but rather how much product is applied to the weeds. for example, you would get the same results if you used 8 oz to 1 gallon or 8 oz to 2 gallons if you spread it over the same area - you are still laying down 8 oz over that area - apply when temperatures are between 50 and 80 - use a spray indicator dye (bulk food coloring is cheaper) to not only see where you have applied, but how much has been sprayed on the weeds - i use a squirt of dish soap as a surfactant, but i do not know if this makes any difference ... show more

It says it kills in 24 hours took more like 3 days but very effective.

    • Since 6 oz per gallon is needed, it is a little pricey, but it work fast and wll.

It took a few days, but the RM 18 did a fantastic job of killing the unwanted grass and weeds. I highly recommend it!
